Deletion requestEdit
Hi Kerta348. I've seen your deletion request for MW-map-Sarano Ancestral Tomb2.jpg and I just would like to provide you with some templates that can easily mark articles that are proposed deletion. See our Deletion Policy for all the details. In short, you can use Proposeddeletion (or Prod) if you want to propose an article for deletion. You can also use Speedydeletion (or Speed) in case the article can be removed right away. For example, when you created an article by accident, and you are the sole contributor.
Keep up with the great work you're doing. --Timenn-<talk> 13:56, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Hard work, huh?Edit
Fixing those Ancestor Tomb Pages was hard work! Hope you didn't mind my extra help. Thanks for formatting them, and taking the time to add members that were overlooked. Your hard work is really apreciated. Hope to work with you again in the future! -- Jplatinum16 02:35, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Using MWEdit
As a result of your edit summary here, I've just updated the documentation for MW. It's only the simple form of the template that shouldn't be used in Morrowind space. The parameterized version is fine, though as I've noted, it's now pretty redundant with the namespace shortcuts available. ‒ Robin Hood↝talk 17:09, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- So which one should be used in the future? MW, MW:Morrowind or Morrowind:Morrowind? --Kertaw48 19:00, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
-
- I would suggest either of the latter two, though there's no real issue with using MW, since RoBoT will just come along and convert it when necessary anyway. It's really up to user preference in the end. ‒ Robin Hood↝talk 19:03, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

The Book of the DragonbornEdit
Just wanted to say I was very impressed with the links you put in the book's prophecy. I hadn't really taken the time to think it through, but I understand it now, and so will a lot of other people. Thanks! Minor Edits 22:22, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- Don't mention it. The phrase "thrice-blessed" gave it all away for me, as I've heard it somewhere in Morrowind. After that, I did a couple of searches and it all just started falling into places. -- kertaw48 22:46, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Book title paramsEdit
There's no need to use the title parameter in the Book Summary template unless it's different to the page title, and definitely no need for links. Thanks for the rest of the work you're doing though. rpeh •T•C•E• 13:17, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
- Ups. I just saw it on one of the book pages and copied it. But, point taken for future work. -- kertaw48 14:23, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Letters in BooksEdit
Can you hold off adding the Picture Letters into Skyrim Books for a bit please, I don't think they should be added if there was already an image there. By the bit 'already an image there', I mean when you edit it there will be a bit that looks like this: <IMG src="Book/fancy_font/d_80x61.dds" width=80 height=61>. If there isn't one, please don't add a letter. If there is one, please continue. I'm sorry about this, it's just my opinion (and one member in IRC) is that there shouldn't be one if there isn't one in-game. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 15:39, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for fixing my mistakes (because there indeed were some), I really do appreciate it, but what I figured happened after all these edits is that almost everything is back to how it was except for the
|lorename=none
being added to every page in question. Now the only thing I've seen this does is that it removes the link to the nonexistent (and soon to be made) lore page. Isn't that a bit counterproductive? -- kertaw48 09:58, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

- I suppose this is a discussion of which readable object would be considered a book and which would be considered a note in Skyrim (as only a book should be given a lore counterpart, because only books have any chance of being featured in both previous and following games). Well no matter how we may feel about the importance of some book, I think that a book with a "Picture Letter" in it would most definitely qualify for the book status, from an in-game point of view. And like I said, most of the book articles in question had the letters returned to them. -- kertaw48 12:15, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

- See my talk page as to explain why I, mistakenly, undid a lot of your work for no good reason. Sorry about that. On the subject of the
|lorename=none
parameter, my reasoning was not that there wouldn't be a lore book there. But that, as you said, not all books will be put into Lorespace. I don't think that Lore books would be created unless they are going to be referenced in a Lore article. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 13:00, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

(←) Yeah I can get the general picture of it. You saw one of my incorrect edits, corrected it and assumed I was going on a rampage adding letters as I please. With all the tension around, in the post-release period, and the amount of work that has to be done, it's completely excusable and this way at least the mistakes did get corrected.
About the creation of Lore books, I have to mention that a lot of books listed here (particularly the "Fiction" section) are not used as a reference or are referenced in Lore articles. Not that they couldn't, but then again so could the articles in question. The reason why I think they were all created is to have a site-wide repository (in the Lore namespace) of all books that came with each game, including the now newly-released Skyrim. -- kertaw48 14:37, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
Life of Uriel Septim VIIEdit
Are you sure that the text of this book in Skyrim was identical to the lore version? I did some cleanup work on the Skyrim page, and I think I would've transcluded the lore page myself if the texts were identical. I don't know, I don't remember specifically, I just wanted to check that you are putting in the due diligence required to ensure transclusion is warranted. Minor Edits 22:44, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- Actually now that you mention it, I wasn't sure whether to actually go through with it or not. The difference isn't much but it does exist. The original version has the word "publically" changed to "publicly" in Skyrim. Also the brackets have changed from "][" to ")(". Do you think the transclusion should be reverted? -- kertaw48 22:51, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
-
- Ah, now I remember. I brought this up on the book's lore talk page. The brackets probably don't matter, but the spelling seems to be a deal-breaker. I'd say a revert is appropriate, unless you can figure out a way to change the text when it's transcluded to the Skyrim namespace, like how we do for the letter pics. Minor Edits 22:57, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I take that back: the most preferred solution here, in my opinion, is to have the lore page match the skyrim page, as the skyrim page spells "publicly" correctly. In which case, the Oblivion page would be the odd man out; we'd either have to figure out how to transclude the text so it says "publically" on the oblivion page or else give the oblivion page its own text. Minor Edits 23:15, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- Done. -- kertaw48 21:15, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
FYIEdit
Thanks for tidying up the Songs of the Return. Just so you know, the title, authors, and descriptions in lore book summaries are transferred along with the text when the page is transcluded into another namespace, regardless of noinclude tags, so it's unnecessary to put these parameters into the summaries in other namespaces. I don't really care, but some editors don't like superfluous code. Minor Edits 21:09, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- Well the reason why I wrote the titles again was they weren't transferred. Anyway, I'm planning to do the same to the rest of the series. -- kertaw48 21:15, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
MishaxhiEdit
Thanks for the help! The Mishaxhi section is now fully edited. Note that english is not my first language, so if there's any major spelling errors or something, feel free to correct (I think I got everything right). I attempted to create the Lore:Mishaxhi page so that I could redirect it to people_M for better search results, but I don't have the necessary rights to do so. Jyggorath 19:21, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- The grammar is fine. And as far as the redirect is concerned, I already sent a request to the "proper authorities" to create it since we can't. It should be done shortly. -- kertaw48 21:29, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
About Khajiit Lore and NameEdit
Continued from here.
- I understand what you intend to do with a special lore section, and respect the endeavor but Bisha appears very recently in Skyrim lore, the book pertaining to her doesn't appear in any other game or official lore.
- As such I'm reverting you undo, please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not interested in starting an edit war over such a small change but Bisha isn't a "fictional" character within Skyrim, she did exists as a "real" person, even if she doesn't appear as a character in Skyrim, lore states at one time she did.
- Also I'm fairly certain quite a few of the names listed on the race name pages are taken from Lore, and not actually characters within the games, it would be difficult to find out if I'm right without a lot searching though.
- - Jake Command Wolf
- I'll address all your issues in order. First of all, as Skyrim is the latest game of course she's only featured in a book in Skyrim. And this type of books (the book is an actual narrative about Falmer) usually make it to the next game. Secondly, the Lore section won't feature "fictional" people, but rather people mentioned in books (historical figures too) irrelevant of whether they were mentioned in any of the games. Now if the book in question was a quest related note or something that is absolutely certain to not appear in any future games, I would agree with you, but this is a legitimate book. Finally, you're wrong. I oversaw some parts of the name articles being created and it was done by looking at categories of NPCs (books were ignored and in fact a lot of book names are still to be added).
- Well, I must say I am not very familiar with Skyrim, but from a bit of searching nothing BUT the Ghosts in the Storm yielded any results on Bhisha (in Skyrim). Unless she is directly referenced in some in-game dialogue I think a revert of your revert is needed (don't worry, I won't do it until we come to a consensus). I await your reply. -- kertaw48 11:55, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Re: Falmer vs. FalmerisEdit
Regarding your question on Legoless' talk page (sorry, I'm nosy!), the language "Falmer" is referred to multiple times in Skyrim by Calcelmo, Enthir and others during this quest, most notably here, wheras "Falmeris" isn't mentioned at all. Falmer Rosetta StoneEdit
Thanks for correcting my mistakes on the article and about fixing that image... I am new here and also not yet fully trained to write or edit things here (I will learn more reading and asking). By the way, I have a font that I made about the alphabet that appears inside the book "Shalidor's Insights" and the "book" inside the BSA texture files from Skyrim "Arcane Scribblings". Is there any rumor about making an article about that alphabet? Karnilmo 17:52, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- First of all, it's okay, we've all been newbies at one point or another. The mentors here can help a lot with that.
- About the font, I'm not sure I know which one out of these you're referring to. I'm not sure if there will be a need for that font, since it's not a well established font in the TES universe, like Dwemer or Daedric. Then again, there's a font with a similar status. Either way, I'm sure you can upload the images of all the letters (or any other method you had in mind) for personal use, until the relevance of the font is established. -- kertaw48 17:11, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Mysterious Akavir Psijic Endeavor LinkEdit
Hi! I'm currently working on a revamp of Lore:Lorkhan. I know he bears some relation to the Psijic Endeavor, of which I'm only familiar with the broad strokes, and I'm not exactly sure what that link is between it and Lorkhan. I noticed you put a link connecting the Psijic Endeavor to the unmaking of Lorkhan into Mysterious Akavir, and I was hoping you could elaborate on that for me? Edit- I plowed ahead and finished it; I'd appreciate any thoughts or changes you can offer. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 18:19, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
- First of all, your article is awesome. Referenced as it is, it's the best source I've ever seen for canon information about Lorkhan, a lengthy subject in its own. Concerning my edit you mentioned, I believe that's a bit less canonical matter. While the link is established in Varieties of Faith, the nature of the connection is explained in one of Kirkbride's texts, basically implying that the first Psijic Endeavor was the unmaking of Lorkhan. While usually, I wouldn't add something like that to this site, I place the links in esoteric texts there to show readers the canonically unmentioned implications on the developers' part. Because they are so generic as to only point to a subject, they are almost never false. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 22:13, 1 October 2012 (GMT)
TESO LoreEdit
Hey Kertaw. Thought I should direct you to this discussion, since you seem to be integrating some TESO lore into existing lore articles. Since it's unreleased content, that should be avoided, at least unless we can come to an agreement to include it (which I wouldn't be against). —Legoless (talk) 22:26, 6 December 2012 (GMT)
Thank you...Edit
I was not looking forward to doing the Dunmer names page - there's a reason I saved it for last. I assume you're working on the female names now? I'm still not sure what to do about the Family names, since there's those tombs mixed in there, and we'd have to remove those links to link to the people instead. Should we maybe create a separate list for the tombs? Or just keep them bold-faced, and not link to the tomb pages at all? I don't know. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 19:25, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
- If it's not a problem, I'm thinking of finishing that article tomorrow. As regards to the family section, the only ones that are really a problem are the tombs with only a single family member. Not sure what to do with those, but I guess since we're linking to each and every member of a family, there's no need to link to the tomb's family section. I'm really not sure either. I guess we could link that one family member adjacent to the tomb link. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 00:16, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
-
- No problem - it's not like there's a rush to get these done, I just didn't want to edit the page if you were working on it at the same time. So I guess it might work to have 2 links for those with tombs, just a sort of
Last (tomb)
, (I think that'll work inside the SurnameList). And for those with more than one name + tomb, you'd have:Last (1, 2, tomb)
. Just that we want to be consistent with how we handle them. Maybe for the 0x ones, we'd do no link on the name itself, but justLast (tomb)
. That way, the word "tomb" always links to the tomb, regardless of how many family members there are. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 00:38, 24 February 2013 (GMT)

Lore Name LinkingEdit
Hey! I think it is great you are helping out with this, but I have one request :) If you can't find a name, could you tag it with a Huh tag, rather than removing it? Several of the names you removed actually do exist in the game, they are just a little hard to find (such as Drals). This allows someone else to come along and double check that they actually do not exists (or if they only exist in lore, to move them there). Thanks! Jeancey (talk) 19:34, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
- I'm sorry about rashly removing some of those names! I did a quick search and when I failed to find them, I just removed them outright (like with the Hand Drals Indobar). The reason I removed Sur Surishpi from the list is because it seems like he has an Ashlander name. However, I did a search and I simply couldn't find the name Valin in the book you linked to or anywhere on this site. Could you please quote the part where the name appears? -- Kertaw48 (talk) 00:16, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
- Well... it doesn't come from a book, it actually comes from the dialogue from dragonborn, specifically here. I'm not sure how to actually reference that on the page though. Jeancey (talk) 00:24, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
- Well, it definitely shouldn't link to that book. Maybe we should just mark it with the Huh template for now, until the pages of people to whom that dialogue belongs to and that in turn reference the name are more fleshed out and can be linked to. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 00:33, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
- Looks like most of the names you couldn't find this last time were from dialogue. Bilsa Andaram, Madayna Sarendas and Narese Athrys. Llevana Salaren is an NPC though. Jeancey (talk) 17:40, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
- Regarding Llevana, I can't find the second instance of the name. I also couldn't find Avon as a last name. I tried linking the people whose names are only mentioned to people who mention them. Their articles should probably make a note of that for clarification. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 22:46, 24 February 2013 (GMT)

Third Era Balmora tax entryEdit
Hi, Kertaw, hope your 2013 has been progressing well! In regards to your recent addition to the Third Era page, I looked through the sources, and I don't know if it's appropriate to say "Due to high Imperial tax rates and tariffs on trade, especially that of local alcoholic beverages, the people of Balmora revolt." There was definitely concern about tariffs, but I don't think we have enough information to say that the tariffs on alcohol were the focus of the Balmora revolt. Do you have another source on the subject? Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 22:46, 13 March 2013 (GMT)
- Hmm, you're right, there's no direct implication of that. I guess I just subconsciously linked the two. I'll remove the part you italicized. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 22:59, 13 March 2013 (GMT)
- EDIT: Speaking of those two sources, do you know why a lore version of them doesn't (or shouldn't) exist? This is especially strange, given that that a lore page exists for the Brown Book. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 23:34, 13 March 2013 (GMT)

Patroller?Edit
Patrolling your edits gets more ridiculous every day. You at least should be an autopatrolled user, but if you're comfortable with it, I'd suggest going for patroller. I'm having déjà vu, like you might have rejected doing this before. But in the interests of efficiency, I think it has to happen. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 14:50, 23 March 2014 (GMT)
- I didn't exactly reject, I just don't read my e-mail very often, and as such didn't see the offer until several months later. I'd be willing to go with either of those options. I'm not really an expert on patrolling edits though. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 20:58, 23 March 2014 (GMT)
- It's not too complicated. If you're unsure about something, you can always leave it for someone else. And now is a good time to learn the basics, with ESO and lax patrolling standards right around the corner. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 21:31, 23 March 2014 (GMT)
- Well, like I said, I'd be willing to give it a try, provided the rest of the community shares your opinion on my ability to be a patroller. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 21:52, 23 March 2014 (GMT)
- The only issue I anticipate is your activity; you were inactive for a while before this month. If you're planning to stick around for the foreseeable future, I'd recommend patrolling. If not, you're still a shoe-in to be auto patrolled IMO. I would nominate you for one or the other personally, but I don't know what your plans are (and I'm editing from my phone). Does it increase the enchantmentpoints of your item ?
If yes, what is the formula ?
I hope you will answer this soon, until then hell of a thankyou and best greetings.
PS: Have some more detailed questions, regarding the simulator, maybe we can have a chat on skype or something. — Unsigned comment by 62.72.94.73 (talk) at 01:55 on 16 June 2015
- Not sure what you mean by roulsize. Do you mean the soul with which you have enchanted the item? It determines the "magicka" pool of your item, how many times it can cast a spell (which in itself is determined by the "cast cost" formula). The size of the soul determines the item's pool. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 15:57, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

- Hey, sorry for not answering your questions before, I've been quite busy as of late. Not sure if you're still checking this page, but I've updated the simulator. The AC7 field used to check if the enchantment in question is a constant effect one. I've corrected it, thanks for your input. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 15:57, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
