Online talk:Ebonheart Pact
Ebonheart Pact InfoEdit
Once more from Game Informer. This gives us a little more history for this faction than the others: "About 50 years prior to the game, an Akaviri invasion came in and basically tried to take over. What happens now is that the Dunmer and the Nords have formed an alliance because the attack was so bad that they realized they were weak to the Imperial rise. So they form an alliance of convenience with the Argonians. They’re surrounded by all these tides of opposing forces. They feel really threatened, so the Ebonheart’s entire purpose is to band together and make sure they’re no longer in danger." And of course, the Ebonheart Pact is represented by the dragon on the ouroboros.76.181.65.128 20:21, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Faction Color?Edit
From the E3 2012 Teaser Trailer, is it a good bet to infer that the Pact's color is red? Lottery Discountz 21:59, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
Jorunn the Skald-KingEdit
BethBlog pointed me to a story on the Elder Scrolls Online site about Jorunn the Skald-King, leader of the Ebonheart Pact at the time of ESO. There's some info about him and other events and details, such as the Akaviri invasion of 2E 572 and Skyrim being divided into Eastern and Western kingdoms, but I'm not sure where to put it all (should there be an Online and a Lore namespace article for the character, does this info need to cited in articles like Lore:Second Era since ESO isn't released yet). There's also supposed to be two additional stories for the leaders of the other two ESO factions later on. Croaker (talk) 07:57, 6 December 2012 (GMT)
- Anyone have an idea? I don't want to keep bumping this, but I feel like it's getting lost in the flood of Dragonborn DLC info. Croaker (talk) 19:47, 6 December 2012 (GMT)

- The page Lore:Second Era was updated with the info earlier today. A new page was created at Lore:Jorunn the Skald-King containing the contents of the 'book'. It seems to me that the time-span of this story is pre-Pact, as it ends with him being crowned High King, and I interpreted that as High King of Skyrim. But it may be worth mentioning on this page that this was an early point when the three separate races joined together to defeat a common foe. I also agree that this info should be somewhere within the Online namespace, and that Jorunn will need his own article in due course. --Enodoc (talk) 20:36, 6 December 2012 (GMT)

- Integrating unreleased TESO information should be discussed on the Community Portal first. Creating book articles seems harmless enough, but we need a consensus to treat them as canon sources, since the lore guidelines state that unreleased info shouldn't be added to lorespace. —Legoless (talk) 22:24, 6 December 2012 (GMT)
- We're just delaying the inevitable. It's official content on the official site. It's obviously canon. I understand the Pre-Release Content guideline is there for a reason, but if it's well organized and referenced I really think reverting those changes would be counter-productive. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 15:21, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
- Just to add more to this, Legoless, you are actually incorrect in that assessment. The guidelines clearly state "Officially approved materials that did not make appearances in the games may be considered in-game sources for the purposes of these guidelines, most notably the Pocket Guides to the Empire and full-length novels such as Books:The Infernal City and Books:Lord of Souls." I think that information released on the official website of the game is covered under "Officially approved materials". Jeancey (talk) 20:26, 6 May 2013 (GMT)

Imperial empire?!Edit
I read under History: "… against the growing Imperial empire"?!
I am not sure where it comes from (not from the source given, as I have checked), but I really do hope this is not what Bethesda is going to call the growing empire of Cyrodiil in ESO? —MortenOSlash (talk) 20:22, 6 May 2013 (GMT)
- It's not :P I changed it to growing Imperial threat. Jeancey (talk) 20:24, 6 May 2013 (GMT)
- :-) Thanks! I was a bit worried a moment here, but as I know very little about ESO, I did not dare to edit. —MortenOSlash (talk) 20:42, 6 May 2013 (GMT)
