Bone Flayers are diminutive skeletons which can be found throughout Tamriel. Three Bone Flayers wearing Imperial-style armor can be found in a cave northeast of the bridge leading north out of Tanglehaven. They are guarding a keg, a heavy sack and a chest. These Bone Flayers are foot soldiers.

Skills and AbilitiesEdit
Bone Flayer (Feral)Edit
- Flurry
- A series of quick swipes that each deal minor physical damage in a cone in front of itself.
- Slash
- A swipe from the enemy's claws that deals minor physical damage.
- Rending Slash
- A heavy swipe that deals moderate physical damage and causes the target to bleed over 5 seconds dealing moderate bleed damage over time.
- Devastating Leap
- The enemy jumps up in the air and leaps at the target, knocking them down and dealing moderate physical damage. This attack can be blocked to reduce the damage, preventing the knockdown and set the enemy off balance.
Bone Flayer (Foot Soldier)Edit
- Quick Strike
- A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.
- Heavy Attack
- A heavy melee attack that does moderate physical damage. It can be blocked to set the enemy off balance.
- Throw Dagger
- The enemy backs away from the player and throws a dagger at the player. This attack Causes snare and bleed if it connects. This attack can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance. The dagger can be blocked to prevent the snare and bleed and reduce the damage done.
- Ignite
- A combo move that is only performed if Archers, Fire Mages or other fire using enemies (Flame Atronachs, Scamps etc.) are around. The enemy throws a glob of tar under the player's feet as indicated by a red circle. While this does no damage, standing in it will snare the player. The Soldier will call for the other enemy to light the tar (usually accompanied by a voice clip) and the red circle will burn, doing moderate flame damage over time to enemies within the red circle.
Bone Flayer (Fire Mage)Edit
- Flare
- A basic ranged attack that does minor flame damage.
- Heat Wave
- The enemy releases fire along the ground in the direction it is facing. This attack does moderate flame damage to all players hit by it. This spell can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided.
- Fire Runes
- The enemy shoots two fireballs in the air which form two fire runes when they land. The runes do moderate flame damage over time to all enemies within the red circles and should be avoided. Players should be prepared to move as soon as the attack casts as one rune will always be cast on top of you.
NotesEdit
- The Bone Flayers found in Shada's Tear's burial grounds are much smaller than most found elsewhere, appearing almost child-sized.
