Morrowind mapsEdit
[[File:AscadianIsles_detail.jpg|thumb|right|Ascadian Isles map]]
TheRealLurlock, regarding the map in Seyda Neen, I agree, the Ascadian Isles region map isn't ideal. It is however, the only map that I am aware of with that level of detail, are there any others? It would be great to be able to add maps of the area, centered around the town, for all of our Morrowind:Cities & Towns. Perhaps a stitched map of Vvardenfel regions, which then could be centered and stamped out... however, even the Morrowind:Regions maps are incomplete. Who are the capable map-makers around that would be up for the challenge? I put a detail of the paper map in there for now. --Benould•T•C 17:47, 8 May 2008 (EDT)
- I could probably whip up something when I have the time - maybe this weekend. Not sure I want to make any promises, though - if I do this, I might be expected to do ALL the MW maps, and having already done that for Oblivion (I did the first set of all Oblivion maps single-handedly, the newer ones that are replacing them I wasn't involved with), I appreciate how much of a monumental task that actually is. (And being employed now, I have other priorities, unlike when I did the OB maps.) It shouldn't be that hard to do, though. Just get a new character, use
TFOW
to get rid of all fog of war, then screenshot the local map in a few places in order to get the whole town in, some creative patching in Photoshop or equivalent, and adjust the levels to look good on the site, maybe add some labels for the buildings, and you'd be done. --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:50, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

- Generated a new map using the Morrowind Interactive Map program - not sure where you can still find this program, as the website in the readme is defunct, but somebody's probably got a copy uploaded somewhere. (In fact, I just noticed Daveh is listed in the credits, so he'd probably know something about it.) I went ahead and annotated it with little numbers and such in Photoshop. If I ever find the time, I might use it to start doing the other maps that way, but don't count on it being any time soon, as I have work that's paying me that takes priority. --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:43, 11 May 2008 (EDT)

- Thanks for both efforts, an interactive map in either form is very helpful and cuts down the need for directions in the main text. Besides that, what would be helpful is a regional map, like the stamp-our I did from the Gamebanshee map. Personally, i.e. for the first few month I had no idea how physically close Caldera was to Balmora. Wolfie's map is not the right scale and has the unwanted blue travel lines on it. Is there a map, maybe from the javamap we have, that I can use to make cutouts from? Where did the Ascadian Isles map come from? Curious,--Benould•T•C 16:24, 12 May 2008 (EDT)

- I think there's definitely benefit to having both. The interactive map is great, but can be slow to load, and also does not work offline. Having separate images on the town pages (or linked from them) is just more convenient. Although, depending on the quality of the map images, it might be better to wait until yours are created? I'm stuck with the resolution created by the Morrowind Interactive Map program, your map might be higher quality. But if it's going to be a while, the ones I've got will serve in the interim. (I'm not putting THAT much effort into them really.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 16:28, 12 May 2008 (EDT)

- Awesome, much more useful with the increased resolution! Do you think we need one for the Morrowind:Manor District as well? --Benould•T•C 16:46, 15 May 2008 (EDT)

- I plan on it. The Interactive Map program doesn't do interiors, so I have to use the CS for that one, but since I've discovered I get much better resolution that way, I'm switching over anyhow. They do take a bit more time to make however, particularly if there's water involved. (I had to manually paint in the water in the Khuul map because it doesn't show up well in the CS.) So it might take a while to get all of them up there. I'll probably concentrate on the ones that don't have any maps yet, and leave the low-res ones in place until I get around to them. --TheRealLurlock Talk 16:53, 15 May 2008 (EDT)

Tamriel:House Indoril re-writeEdit
TheRealLurlock, I took a stab at a very old cleanup tag ;). Take a look at my re-write of the Tamriel:House Indoril article, it needs some more eyes to finish. I checked facts to the best of my abilities, within the named resources, TIL and cross-referenced the original wikipedia article. Among other things, a consensus needs to be reached on whether Vivec city is Temple or partially Indoril holdings. Going to post this on its talk page. Cheers, --Benould•T•C 17:41, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
