Welcome!Edit
Hiya Snowolf69! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's great when we get new members.
Thanks for uploading new images to the wiki, they look like they are of nice quality. However, we do have pretty strict standards here when it comes to image guidelines, so you might want to check out our Image Guidelines Page. In particular, we expect pages for places to have images with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and for item images to be centered on the subject. Also, you are replacing some images which were already fine as they were, so your efforts might be a bigger help for the pages in this category. Anyway, here's a welcome with some helpful info. Check out the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Help Contents: a list of in-depth Help pages
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
If you would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at the Userboxes page: a near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to making your own.
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~ (do not sign edits to articles). Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun!

- PS: I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but you may also want to check out our Image Requests page. Your images are of great quality, so I'm sure the editors who request images there would love to have you help out. Just remember to follow the image guidelines, and feel free to ask if you have questions. :) — ABCface◥ 06:26, 23 January 2013 (GMT)
Image Requests pageEdit
Hiya Snowolf! Just wanted to let you know that if you are uploading a basic image for any page on your own, you are more than welcome to post it to the article yourself as soon as it's uploaded. However, if you upload an image specifically for the Image Requests page, the guidelines actually state that the person who requested the image should upload it to an article rather than the person who uploaded the image. (Since Krusty requested those dead Argonian images, he should have uploaded it to the page, but both you and Jeancey did so before he got the chance. For the Draugr images, Chezburgar should be the one to add those images to the page since he is the one who requested the images.) For the Argonian image which is already on the page, you don't need to remove it, but this is just something to keep in mind for the future. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. :) — ABCface◥ 01:28, 29 January 2013 (GMT)
- Sorry again. This is about day 3 of doing any helping but I'm learning. I'll be sure to thoroughly reread the guidelines. Thanks for your help and patience. - Snowolf69 (talk)
- No need to be sorry! That page has a pretty specific set of guidelines which differ from other areas of the site a little bit, no worries. Your images are great and we appreciate your help. :) — ABCface◥ 02:00, 29 January 2013 (GMT)
- Hi Snowolf. Just noticed you. Welcome and thanks for contributing. Like ABCface said, don't be sorry for mistakes. We don't want people to have to learn "everything" before contributing (it would never happen!). If you're looking for things to do, or info on how to do them, include me in the group of people you can talk to or ask questions (on my talk page, etc.). I think I know ABCface well enough to say the same for her. But, generally, when unsure about something, you can go ahead and do it. Someone will fix it or undo it perhaps, but you'll learn that way. If that happens, and you're not sure why, then ask. --JR (talk) 03:07, 29 January 2013 (GMT)
- Thanks banana bunches. I have been perusing the Pages Needing Images list and I have a few sticky-noted to check them out in-game. I think I've got the hang of it thanks quite well to the Help pages that I've been thoroughly reading the past few days. I've been using UESPWiki for long enough I figured I could easily help out. - Snowolf69 (talk) 03:19, 29 January 2013 (GMT)
- You are welcome in bushels of Skyrim cabbage (mammoth fertilized). The requests on the Image Request page and probably most on "Pages Needing Images" would be priorities, but I'm currently working on finding and taking pics of "unmarked places". If you want to help with that, contact me by email or in the IRC, as we'd need to coordinate. It does have something of a "detective" element to it, which can be fun. What I have so far is in this sandbox. A fair warning is that I really don't know where the page is going yet. The lovely and seldom-wrong ABCface earlier told me not to try to get all the images (there are too many), but ... I don't know if I can stop. :p --JR (talk) 10:06, 29 January 2013 (GMT)

Draugr ImagesEdit
Hiya Snowolf! Thanks for helping with the images I requested! Now, this is kinda my fault ( as I did not specify how I wanted them), and please don't think I am a mean person for asking more of you and please don't see me as mean, but... Could you perhaps take images of the Draugr with better lighting and where they naturally occur? I noticed they were all in the same place, so I was assuming you spawn them with Console Commands. You do not have to do this, and once again, please don't think of me as a person who is not happy with what he is given. - Chez talk • email 06:10, 30 January 2013 (GMT)
Image namesEdit
In general, images should be named just based on the NPC in them. So Vampire master would be SR-npc-Vampire Master.jpg. The description of what they are wearing comes in the summary section. If more than one image is uploaded, then they are named with numbers, so the second would be SR-npc-Vampire Master 02.jpg, and so on. :) Great quality pictures though! Jeancey (talk) 23:14, 2 February 2013 (GMT)
- I was wondering about that but I was worried I would name the image the same as the other Vampire Master image. I'll keep that in mind from now on. Will that image file name need to be changed or will it stay the same? I need to know since it will likely be linked on the Skyrim:vampire page. - Snowolf69 (talk) 23:17, 2 February 2013 (GMT)
- I moved it :) If there is any in the future that are the same name, just add the numbers to it. :) And if you mess up (as I have on many occasions) it isn't that hard to fix! Jeancey (talk) 23:22, 2 February 2013 (GMT)
- Snowolf: If you attempt to save an image file with the same name as an existing file, the system will so inform you and ask if you want to replace the existing image with the new. Like Jeancey says, any mistake is easy to fix. Well, almost. See information and procedures for renaming image files. --JR (talk) 01:44, 3 February 2013 (GMT)

Werewolf 02Edit
Hey, Snowolf: I was reading through here to try and figure out if the above file was vanilla. It seems like you said it was, but I thought I'd ask to make sure. :) Thanks, --Vulpa 23:56, 14 February 2013 (GMT)
- I went back and retook that pic after Legoless mentioned the ice wall looked off. Its because I changed the saturation in the game files to make the colors more vibrant. I have a number of special save states positioned exactly at photographic points in case I need to retake them or wish to change the lighting or something so I easily redid this one. I specifically went back and disabled a number of my mods when I went to retake that picture so there are no Werewolf or environment textures in that image so the model is vanilla but that is not natural weather for that area. I went through the FW console list to pick one I liked and played around with the time of day to get the angle just right. I used a magelight at a bit of a distance giving a bit extra blue hue and the FW value was something like BluePalace or Sovrenguard clear giving it that clear, vibrant color. The sort of zoom effect is caused naturally when you are very near a werewolf and it roars. Using TFC 1, that effect stays on the screen and I froze it at just the right instant to get some of that effect but not too much so as not to make the whole image too blurry. I took about 200 day and night shots and like with real photography you really only get 1 good one in a hundred and that was it. - Snowolf69 (talk) 00:17, 15 February 2013 (GMT)

- Phew, I admire your patience! :) Congratulations on the shot: I nominated it for FI, actually, since I like it so much. The only oppositions really are technical issues (like the vanilla-ness) because I sorta rushed the nomination... :P Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Great images! --Vulpa 00:33, 15 February 2013 (GMT)
