HeyEdit
Hey Elliot, I just wanted to let you know that I saw the edit war and all the other stuff that was going on and I STRONGLY disagree with why you were blocked. You didn't deserve it. Especially for 3 months that is absurd. I hope your appeal was successful and you can continue editing because you are good at it. :) Ascaffo 01:13, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
Semi-protectionEdit
Elliot, I've semi-protected your talk page for one week in the light of recent edits. If you would prefer the page to remain unprotected, please let me know and I'll undo it. rpeh •T•C•E• 02:46, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
Merging!Edit
Hey Elliot! Just wanted to say that I agree 100% with the decision on moving the introductory objectives to the quest pages and merging the journal entries. Looks ten times better, and I was already panicking over my current revamp of The Taste of Death, mainly because it is damn complicated to write a decent walkthrough without the objective – and even more complicated to figure out how to link somewhere else in the middle of a 'story'. ☺ --Krusty 20:35, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
Edit
Last night I had an issue with the book footers pointed out to me by Minor Edits. Can you please look over this topic? --AKB Talk Cont Mail 22:42, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
ID RemovalEdit
I realized that the ID codes are for console commands. sorry about that. --W.radermacher 22:49, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Interactive tables?Edit
Hello Elliot, it's Jak Atackka. In our discussion here, I mentioned possibly creating an interactive table. My thought is, you would just mouse over a button that said "Roman Chars" or something and the entire "Word Wall" column would revert from Draconic to Roman characters. This would save space and if done right be a very elegant solution.
My question is, how should this be implemented? I'd like to use wiki coding, but I can't find any interactive functions built into this wiki. I've seen some HTML that uses Javascript for this, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. Suggestions?
BTW, thanks for contributing to the discussion. The table format for the Dragon Shouts has been a thorn in my side for a while, and its nice to see that the matter is finally being addressed by more experienced editors. Jak Atackka 05:29, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'm about 80% done with a hovering trick. It has it's issues and will have some even once I am done, but it should be okay. elliot (talk) 05:48, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Cool. How does it look so far? Jak Atackka 06:05, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Good. My only problem is getting the table to go away once you mouse off of it. elliot (talk) 06:07, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Well that could be a problem. What's the source code? I have some experience with programming (mostly Java and C++) so I might be able to help. Jak Atackka 06:20, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

JavascriptEdit
Ok, I'm moving this side discussion here, since the CP is already a bit confusing and this doesn't add to the main topic. I picked the quotes that appeared relevant to me, correct me if you were talking about something else.
- Okay, I found a basic way to do it for now. We can always iron out the kinks later. The first thing you want to do is add importScript('User:Elliot/hoveringtext.js'); to here. Then you want to add importScript('User:Elliot/hoveringtext.css'); to here. Make sure you reset your cache to view the following table.

- Do we really need custom javascript for this?

- Alfwyn, nothing is needed besides having the information on the page, so I don't understand you're argument.

The argument is simply, your example doesn't work for me (I didn't import the .js/.css stuff). If we would want to use that implementation, we would need to add that to Mediawiki:Common.js and Mediawiki:Commmon.css (or force every user to import it for themself). This would add to every page loaded and there is the potential security risk involved with javascript if the code isn't checked carefully, which is why inline javascript is disabled for mediawiki in the first place. --Alfwyn 12:20, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
Sorry!Edit
Sorry about undoing your edit on Skyrim:Shahvee. That was quite strange. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 05:28, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
