Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Another Naked NordEdit

Just outside the west gate of Port Telvannis is yet another naked Nord, this one named Sjard. He tells you that he hates to see humans as slaves, and recently purchased one in Port Telvannis intending to free her as soon as they were a decent distance from the city. Unfortunately, the slave girl turned out to be a witch who put a curse on him and the next thing he knew, he woke to discover his clothes and prized warhammer, Woebringer, missing. He asks you to track down this witch and return his hammer.

Two Sides to Every StoryEdit

The "witch" can be found by the side of the road to the southwest. Her name is Olivie Arche and she has a different story to tell. She was indeed a slave and was purchased by a Nord, but although he made some vague comments about freeing her, he was so drunk that she couldn't be certain. Not too far from town, he passed out from the drink and she seized her chance to escape. Slaves are never given much to wear so she took his clothes, while she was afraid of what Sjard might do if he found her so stole his warhammer for good measure. She is feeling rather guilty about her actions and will gladly return all the items if you can find her a nice green common robe to wear.

Clothes ShoppingEdit

There are several places where a green common robe can be found. If you don't have one in your inventory already, the closest location to buy one is at Calbin Ragis' clothing store in Port Telvannis. Wherever you find one, bring it back to Olivie and she will hand over Sjard's clothes and warhammer.

I Didn't Ax for ThoseEdit

Take the hammer back to Sjard. He will be delighted and show you a few things about handling blunt weapons, boosting your Blunt Weapon skill by three points. His disposition towards you will increase by 20 points. Of course, you can choose to keep the hammer for yourself instead, which causes his disposition to drop by 30, or kill him after handing it over.

NotesEdit

  • There are three common robes that could be called "green", or at least, "greenish" and any one will do. Their codes are common_robe_02, common_robe_04 and common_robe_05_c, and have icons like this:    .

Quest StagesEdit

The following Journal ID and Index codes can be used with the Journal console command to manually update the quest to a certain point.

Woebringer (TR_m1_wil_woebringer)
Index Finishes Quest Journal Entry
10 I met a Nord named Sjard on the road north of Port Telvannis. He told me that he had purchased a Breton slave with the intention of freeing her, and she turned on him, stealing his clothes and his warhammer, Woebringer. He believes that she is a witch.
20 I ran across a Breton woman named Olivie Arche on the road between Port Telvannis and Sadas Plantation. She told me that she had been a slave at the Port Telvannis market, but was recently purchased by a Nord. The Nord passed out drunk shortly after leaving Port Telvannis and she fled in fear, and took his clothes not out of malice, but because as a slave, she had nothing of her own to wear. If I bring her a green common robe she will return the Nord's belongings.
30 I gave Olivie Arche a green robe and true to her word, she gave me the Nord's belongings.
100 Finishes quest  I returned Woebringer to Sjald [sic]. He was so excited to have his warhammer back that he told me to keep his clothes. I expect he'll regret the decision when he tries to go back into Port Telvannis, but there's no convincing him while he's in this state of ecstasy. He showed me a few tricks about blunt weapons to help me in future battles.
110 Finishes quest  I have decided to keep Woebringer for myself. If Sjard can't even keep his weapons away from a slave, he doesn't deserve to own such a piece of craftsmanship. Needless to say he was quite upset about it, but he didn't dare attack me unarmed, knowing what Woebringer can inflict.
