Staron is a Redguard barbarian who can be found in The Glass Goblet in Tel Mothrivra. He is hiding from a couple of Ordinators held outside the town's entrance, as he unknowingly killed a Temple priest and they demand justice for his death. You can either help him escape or help the Ordinators in catching him.
He wears a near-complete set of Imperial studded leather armor: helm, cuirass, greaves, boots, and pauldrons. He also wears a wooden shield, and he wields a silver mace.
Like all Redguards, he has a natural resistance to poison and disease, and can boost his health, strength, agility and endurance for a short period of time, but otherwise knows no spells.

DialogueEdit
- Greeting:
- "Hello stranger, my name is Staron. I'm a barbarian traveling around Morrowind, searching for wealth."
- "A mushroom city and some waterfalls. Okay, it's a nice city. But there are also beautiful cities in Hammerfell like Rihad, Taneth or Stros M'kai."
- "Their name doesn't scare me. I think those creatures are just common vampires with too much ash in their lungs."
- "I've heard some rumors about him. He should be an immortal creature living in the fiery caverns of Red Mountain along with some deformed monsters and some ash vampires... and he influences Dunmer to his cause by manipulating their dreams. I wouldn't be surprised if he is some follower of Vaermina."
- Dunmer:
- "Dunmer are the inhabitants of Morrowind. They have no sense of humor, always taking themselves very seriously. They look down on all the other races -- particularly the Khajiit and Argonians, whom they treat like animals. I think they love insects more than they do Khajiit or Argonians. Many of them rely on magic or stealth rather than the honorable skills of a warrior."
- Dwemer sites:
- "The Dwemer sites of Hammerfell are much more interesting than those here in Morrowind, especially that one near Stros M'Kai."
- glass armor:
- "I don't need any to outlive my enemies or survive in this area."
- "I don't like them, and neither do the Dunmer. The previous wars between the Empire and Hammerfell has left a bitter hatred between Imperials and Redguards in that region."
- Morrowind:
- "Morrowind is the farthest northeast province of the Tamriel, surrounded by ocean to the north and east, Skyrim to the west, Cyrodiil to the southwest, Black Marsh to the south, also known as Argonia. It's marked by a giant volcano, Red Mountain, and numerous Dwemer ruins."
- Redguard:
- "We are the best race fit for warriors. We are swift and strong and have good constitution. We don't run away from fights, either."
- Rihad:
- "A nice coastal city, with a large and fabulous fire tower. It's mostly an Imperial city though."
If you are a Dark Elf:
- "A nice coastal city, with a large and fabulous fire tower. It's mostly an Imperial city though, so I won't recommend a visit to you Dunmer if you are proud of your heritage."
Gone to GroundEdit
- Greetings:
- "Greetings, %PCName. Have you found the right scroll yet?"
If you gave him a Divine Intervention scroll and meet him in Helnim:
- "There you are, %PCName! I was worried you wouldn't come, but now that you're here, I have your reward. Take this gold, and use it wisely. Now, I must be off. Morrowind is no longer a safe place for me." Goodbye (You receive 200 gold, and removed Scroll of Divine Intervention from your inventory))
- scroll:
- "Did you find a Divine Intervention scroll?"
- [Lie] Yes, here is the scroll.: "Great! I believe the nearest chapel is in Helnim. Meet me there for your reward." Goodbye (Disposition up by 10, and removed Scroll of Almsivi Intervention from your inventory)
-
- Yes, here you go.: "Great! I believe the nearest chapel is in Helnim. Meet me there for your reward." Goodbye (Disposition up by 10, and removed Scroll of Divine Intervention from your inventory)
-
- Not yet.: "Time is short, %PCName. You must find the scroll before it is too late." Goodbye
- Staron:
If Disposition is at least 60:
- "Alright, you seem like the trustworthy type. I'm a barbarian by trade. I came to Morrowind with the hope that I would acquire many riches from the ruins here. But shortly after arriving, I had a quarrel with a Dunmer and killed him. It was only after the incident that I discovered the Dunmer had been a well-known Temple priest, and that the Temple had sanctioned a death warrant against me."
- Continue: "Luckily, the ruler of this town, Dralothas Omothran, has granted me sanctuary. But lately I've become restless; I'm tired of being trapped here, I want to go out and explore the world again! Not too long ago I heard of a type of scroll that teleports the user to the nearest Imperial Cult chapel, and I think that would be ideal for my escape."
-
- Continue: "There isn't much time! I saw a couple of Ordinators just outside the town entrance. They've probably been denied entrance, but I know they'll find a way in eventually. Will you help me?"
-
- Yes.: "Thank you, %PCName. I need you to bring me a Divine Intervention scroll. I couldn't find any in this town, and I obviously can't just walk out the entrance. You must find one for me before the Ordinators find a way to kill me!" Goodbye (Disposition up by 5)

- No.: "Well, thank you for listening at the very least. I'll still be here should you change your mind, provided I'm still living."

-
- "Oh, have you decided to help me?" (See 'Yes.' and 'No.' options above)
