Ademnal Lleryn (after the 22.11 release)

Ademnal Lleryn is a Dark Elf agent found on Firewatch's docks. He appears during the events of the Fighters Guild quest, Breaking Some Eggs, alongside his fellow Mer, Mervis Ravalen. The pair have failed to deliver on a paid contract for local manor owner, Merdon Dillmoon, and Merdon will send you to get the money back. It transpires that Ademnal and Mervis have struck a new deal with the East Empire Company, and you will need to work either to persuade them to honor the original agreement, or to return the funds Merdon has given them.

While the quest is active, Ademnal offers medium training in Short Blade, Light Armor, and Sneak.

He wears a pair of common pants and shoes, and wields a wooden mace. He also carries a random item of expensive clothing, a random drink, a random pair of shoes, a random pair of pants, and a random shirt (which he may wear). Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows no spells.

DialogueEdit

Fighters Guild: Breaking Some EggsEdit

  • Greeting:
"What is it? You're not here on behalf of Merdon Dillmoon, are you?"

If you decided to rough them up for the money, and manage to speak with Ademnal during combat (like casting Calm Humanoid on him)

"Have at you, f'lah." Goodbye (Starts attacking again)

If you decided to rough them up for the money, and lower Mervis' or Ademnal's health low enough during the fight:

"Agh, stop! Fine, take that fool's gold. I hope he chokes on it." Goodbye (You receive 300 gold, and both of them stop attacking)
"You've got Merdon's money. Leave us be."

If you kill Mervis without speaking with Ademnal first:

"Wait, stop! I don't want to die. Just take the money, alright? Take it and leave me be." Goodbye (You receive 300 gold)

If you receive the gold first and then kill Mervis:

"We gave you the gold, and you killed Mervis anyway? What's wrong with you?" Goodbye

If you convince him to sell the eggs to Merdon Dillmoon first and then kill Mervis:

"We said we'd sell the eggs to the old man, but you killed Mervis anyway? What's wrong with you?" Goodbye

If you speak to him a second time after killing Mervis for any reason:

"Mervis is dead. What more do you want from me? Please, go away." Goodbye

If you convince him to sell the eggs to Merdon Dillmoon:

"Yes, you've won us over. If you don't need anything, we'd ought to get moving these crates."
  • Merdon Dillmoon
"So he hired the Guild to get his money back, eh? I'll admit, I didn't think he had it in him. We were going to be his egg suppliers, but then the East Empire Company outbid him. 400 drakes for the lot, and the same amount again with each shipment. So we're keeping the gold. What's it to you?"
  • What if someone else outbid the East Empire Company?: "Hoho. I like your way of thinking, outlander. I suppose if someone else did outbid the Company, we'd be a good bit richer in the long run. And then, I suppose, I might be persuaded to give you back Merdon's money. And a bit more, even. But I don't think there are any other great companies around that could outbid the East Empire Company."
If you talk to Cunus Pompus in the Great Hall of Ember Keep in Firewatch about outbid the company and come back to Ademnal:
  • Cunus Pompus says the Zafirbel Bay Company will pay 450 drakes for the lot.: "Well, isn't that something. Merdon's gold and more, as promised. We'll talk to that Cunus fellow and see what sort of arrangement we can make." (You receive 400 gold)
  • If you don't turn over Merdon's gold, there's going to be trouble.:
If you are below Level 4: "Let's see about that. Mervis! Have at them!" (Both of them start attacking)
If you are Level 4 or above: "Hmph. Alright, then. I'd rather not tangle with you. Take the gold and get out of here." (You receive 300 gold)
  • You should honor your agreement with Merdon. If you don't, nobody will want to deal with you.: "Oh, please. Who cares about that old man? If he can't get his money back, the fool doesn't deserve it."
If you have Speechcraft 30 or above: "I suppose it could be trouble in the long-run. Fine. Tell Merdon the deal's back on. I'm sure he'll be delighted."
"The deal's back on. What are you still here for?"
If you talk to him again after receiving the money for any reason:
"You've got the money. What else do you need?"
