Witchhazel [sic] inspired forsythia shrubs in preservation of the original art direction of the game.—Official Summary
Official DescriptionEdit
-3D replacers of the two Reach shrubs by the author of the Cathedral Series.
-The original texture appears to be a shrub with many orange yellow flowers. The wilted petals and hue are consistent with witchhazel, [sic] however, the flowers seem to have 4 petals, which would be consistent with forsythia. I have tried to faithfully capture both elements in this 3D replacer so as to preserve the original art direction of the game.
-Preserves the vanilla architecture so as not to introduce clipping. Also increases the depth of the stems since many of the larger shrubs are actually floating in the original game.
-Normal maps are hand-sculpted to enhance 3-dimensionality [sic]
-The vertex counts of the two models are 2.7k for a single bush and 11.9k for the large bush cluster. The vanilla models are 0.4k and 2k, but completely 2D (see video).
