Contract carried by thugs

WalkthroughEdit

If you murder an NPC who has a relative, the relative may subsequently send three hired thugs to hunt you down and teach you a lesson (i.e. kill you in vengeance). The thugs will be carrying a contract which reveals the name of the relative who hired the thugs.

NotesEdit

  • You may also be attacked if you steal from someone (see Steal, Thugs hunt player).
  • You can attack the thugs at a distance via magic or archery while they are non-hostile (before they get a chance to initiate dialogue with you) individually to make the fight easier; the ones not being attacked will remain non-hostile as they continue to approach, so you can thin their numbers before they actually get to talk to you.

BugsEdit

  • If you kill someone then kill any of their relatives then you may find that one of the hired thugs sent after you has a contract note from someone you have already killed.
  • The thugs may be hired by children.

Quest StagesEdit

  • All of the quest stages are empty: 0, 1, 255.
Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage WIKill06 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest WIKill06.
