Quick WalkthroughEdit
- Search the tower at Reachwind Eyrie.
- Pick up the leftover loot.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
This quest can be started by heading to the Silver-Blood Inn within Markarth. Go inside and find the Looter's Note left by a patron upon the bar counter. Now head to Reachwind Eyrie, a Dwemer tower southeast of Markarth and northeast of Dushnikh Yal. Upon arrival, three Looters will begin attacking. Go inside the tower and go up the steps. At the top will be the body of dead Dark Elf named Casival. Loot him to find a copy of The Crimson Dirks, v9. On the table and ground you will find the two pieces of Dwarven Plate Armor and Casival's Note.
BugsEdit
- The Looter's note may be clipped into the bar. ?
- Using a spell that has knockback seems to work. For example, Fire Storm, Elemental Burst and Fireball may work. The illusion spell Harmony also works if you do not want to kill the patrons or make them hostile to you.
- If you have already visited Reachwind Eyrie and picked up the Dwarvern Plate armor, you will not be able to complete the quest. ?
- Dropping it back in Reachwind Eyrie before activating the quest seems to fix this.
- Re-acquiring the Dwarven Plate armor in Reachwind Eyrie, through trade/pick up fixes the quest.
- If you've already sold the Dwarven Plate Armor and the above suggestions didn't work, you can force complete the quest using the console command:
SetStage ccBGSSSE061_quest 1000
Doing this also allows you to remove any new Dwarven Plate Boots that had been marked as quest items.
- Looters and bandit around and in the Reachwind Eyrie may not spawn upon reaching the area or heading into the tower making it impossible to complete the quest. ?

Notes
- Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game. - Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage ccBGSSSE061_Quest stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest usingresetquest ccBGSSSE061_Quest
.
