The Sea Runs RestlessEdit
When you meet Quen on the outskirts of Llanshara, she will explain why she is there and that she got separated from Umindior. He ran off after a Maormer woman and has not returned, she will also note that the Maormer here have been acting peculiarly. You can find Umindior in Neri's Quarters, where he will be half-asleep and naked:
- Umindior: "Is that you, dear? I still need rest."
You can try speaking with him:
- "Mmm, no more, my sweet. Just need some rest.
So energetic. Quite wore me out." - Umindior? Quen needs your help with the job.
- "Quen? Job? That can wait, lovely.
I'm quite thirsty. Could you bring the water bucket? You wore me out."
Take the nearby water bucket, and throw its contents over him to wake him up:
- Umindior: "Agh! What the …?"
- Umindior: "You're not Neri! Who are you?"
Speak with the unhappy Umindior to find out what happened:
- "Why did you go and do such a thing? Now I'm all wet. I was so happy—happy and sore. But you ruined it.
I expected a Sea Elf. A beautiful, sensuous, vigorous Sea Elf. Instead, it's you. Where did you come from?" - Quen sent me to find you. She believes you know something about the relic.
- "The relic? Ugh, my head. I can't remember. Sea Elf wine—so strong, so sweet.
Wait. Yes. I heard Neri had information. She found me when I followed her. Oops, hold on, still tipsy." - What happened after she found you?
- "Not what I expected, truth be told. She dragged me in here. Now I'm very, very sore.
Oh! The note. Someone delivered it. After. Neri cursed and ran out. It's on the table. Maybe read it? I can't. My eyes are blurry."
If you talk to him again before reading the Note to Neri:
- "My legs are sore. And my head is swimming. But … worth it.
The note on the table. It was for Neri. I can't remember what about. Get it, would you?"
From the note, it appears the strange behavior has something to do with "something" a pair of Maormer accidentally triggered. Talk to Uminidior about the letter:
- "I'm still wet. And really cold. I don't like it, friend of Quen's. Quen friend.
What's the note say? It made my delightful Neri leave." - The note says two people used an ancient relic.
- "Let me see. Right. It's coming back. I heard Neri guarded it. The relic. I followed her. We came here.
She grumbled about this. Said two idiots went where they didn't belong. Activated it. Her anger made things more fun." - Did Neri mention the location of the relic?
- "No. But hey—now we know two people who can tell us. Minahel locked them in a cell on the beach. Maybe they're mad about that? Let's see if they'll tell us something.
I'm pulling it together, but I still need a moment. I'll meet you at the cell." - All right, I'll go talk to some imprisoned Sea Elves.
You have the option of asking Umindior some more questions before leaving:
- "Ugh, standing hurts. My arms hurt. My … everything hurts. I really miss Neri.
Oh, right. She could come back soon. Talk fast if you have questions. Otherwise, I'll meet you at the cell on the beach. We'll ask those Sea Elves about that relic." - Did you learn anything else while you had Neri's attention?
- "Oh, I learned a great deal. Wait, you mean about the job. I've told you what I remember. Neri's a guard. Two idiots. An activated relic, whatever that means.
The Sea Elves are typically private types. Hard to read and keep to themselves." - Do people usually behave like Neri toward you? / Do people usually behave like Neri towards you?
- "I wouldn't call myself unlucky in such affairs. But, no, not typically. I don't know why. Look at me.
Maybe I'm just too intimidating. Yes. That must be why I attracted Neri. She is so very strong." - You said she dragged you in here?
- "She caught me hiding behind some rocks. We locked eyes. As she approached, I knew I should run. But something about her look. It kept me still.
When she grabbed my collar I thought I was dead. Until she kissed me. Hard. Then we came here."

- The note mentioned sea witches. What do you know about those?
- "I think they're Sea Elf religious figures. Or magic leaders? Honestly, I can only guess. I didn't think I needed to read up on them before I came here.
Maybe Neri can tell me more. When we're together again. If we have time."

- Do you know anything about Llanshara?
- "Old druid settlement, I think. Makes sense based on the name. Though, this whole island was druids.
Now, the Dreadsails are here. I wonder what their plans are?"
- "Old druid settlement, I think. Makes sense based on the name. Though, this whole island was druids.
- What can you tell me about yourself?
- "Hmm. Sure, I'm a little drunk on strong wine. And an even stronger woman. But not so much to tell a stranger my secrets. You should know—on this kind of job, we keep to ourselves.
Plus, you got me all wet! Not even sure I even I like you."
- "Hmm. Sure, I'm a little drunk on strong wine. And an even stronger woman. But not so much to tell a stranger my secrets. You should know—on this kind of job, we keep to ourselves.
As you leave Neri's Quarters, you will hear him to talk to himself:
- Umindior: "Ah, found my shirt! Oh, now it's wet, too."
Umindior will meet up with you as you find where Ellorien and Laniwys are being held on the beach:
- Umindior: "They should be somewhere around here."
- Laniwys: "What's this? Here for a frolic?"
- Umindior: "Ugh, no. I'm quite recently taken."
- Ellorien: "Calm, my dear. These sweet strangers could help."
Speaking with Umindior before questioning the pair:
- "I'm so sore, I can't think straight. Why don't you see if one of them will talk to us."
Talk with Laniwys, and she will explain what happened with the relic in the old druid caverns. Umindior says he will release the pair and catch up with you:
- Umindior: "Head to that cavern. I'll deal with their release."
You have the option of talking with Umindior before leaving:
- "So those two activated the relic with their little romp? I suppose that explains the Sea Elves' more lusty behavior. And here I thought it was me.
I can release them if you go find the druid chamber. Let's hope no one moved it." - Do you think the relic will still be there?
- "I suppose it may be too much to ask that they left the blasted relic where they found it. We could grab it, get out of here, then be done with this whole thing.
Ugh. I wish I could think straight." - What do you think of their story?
- "The one where they frolicked so hard that they spread good feelings to every Sea Elf in Llanshara? Incredible.
Honestly, I feel grateful. Because of them, I had a delightful romp." - I'll meet you at the druid cavern.
Once you are in the druid caverns, Umindior will accompany you to investigate:
- Umindior: "Hmm … no relic. Could you search for clues? Climbing those rocks winded me."
After reading Minahel's Note:
- Umindior: "This Minahel person truly hates joy."
After reading Ritual of Life's Commencement:
- Umindior: "Seems the druids understood a good time."
Examining a carving:
- Umindior: "I wonder what this old carving means."
Once you have observed all three clues, you can speak with Umindior:
- "Well, we didn't find the relic. Shame. I'm tired of all this walking around. And I want to go back to Neri's room.
That carving does look druidic. So, we know this is the right place. Anything useful from what you collected?" - This ritual says it lasts a lunar cycle.
- "Sounds fun. But, also, distracting. Imagine the effects of carrying it through Vastyr. Heh. Hmm.
No, eventually we need to get paid. There must be a way to stop it." - Minahel's note mentioned a way to control the relic's effects.
- "Perfect. I love when others do the work. We can lift whatever Minahel has made, then use it to safely carry the relic.
We have a camp outside Llanshara to the northwest. Let's head there. If Quen's back, she might have thoughts on how to proceed." - Let's go talk to Quen.
Umindior will then leave for the camp:
- Umindior: "Let's separate. See you back at our camp."
You can then catch up with him and Quen at their camp, where he is in the middle of being questioned:
- Quen: "What did they do to you? You look exhausted."
- Umindior: "I had a quite … rigorous discussion. Very productive."
Before speaking with Quen:
- "After my fun with Neri, walking all over the beach, climbing that cliff … I am so worn out. How could anyone expect me to keep up?
I tried to fill Quen in on what we've learned. Now, just let me rest."
Speaking with Quen, she will decide to seduce information about Minahel's plan out of Veshin a Maormer she recently encountered. She will ask for your assistance while Umindior stays behind:
- "Perhaps I'll write a note to Neri. I must see her again. But how to get it to her?
Um, yes, whatever you and Quen have planned, I agree entirely. Excellent work. I need to rest, but I'll catch up."
After collecting the stilt crabs, you can speak to him again:
- "I always believed the Sea Elves to be standoffish. But now I find them quite passionate indeed. A pleasant surprise."
During Quen's picnic date with Veshin, you will learn the Sea Witches have moved the relic into their caverns and will suppress its effects with an enchanted sail cloth. However, when you arrive back at the camp, Umindior is gone but has left a note. He explains that he has gone after Neri in hopes that she will leave the Dreadsails for him.
An annoyed Quen will asked you to help find the Magic-Infused Cloth before heading for the relic. When you enter the Sea Witches Sanctum, you will soon find a Gold Medallion which Quen recognizes as belonging to Uminidior.
As you progress through the tunnels, you will soon hear Umindior talking with Minahel:
- Umindior: "Why are you tying me up? This isn't fun at all!"
- Minahel: "You've breached our sanctum! With those toned muscles of yours."
In the next room, you will hear more:
- Umindior: "Neri brought me here! I, oh, well then."
- Minahel: "I know so many forms of torture. Starting with kisses."
- Umindior: "I can't say this is really for me. Wait—ow!"
Outside the room where Minahel and Umindior are:
- Umindior: "What is that? No! Stop! That tickles. I hate being tickled."
- Minahel: "You think this is funny? I'll make furious love to you, intruder!"
- Quen: "I guess we know where to find Umindior."
In Minahel's Room, you will find Umindior bound to a wall with sharp vines. In front of him will be Minahel and two Reef Vipers:
- Umindior: "Help! Somebody! Help!"
Once you have defeated Minahel:
- Quen: "Grab Umindior and let's get out of here!"
- Umindior: "Quen! Help! These vines are sharp. They hurt!"
- Quen: "I suppose we should cut the lout free."
- Umindior: "They have the relic! In the other room!"
When you have freed Umindior, he will run to the next room:
- Umindior: "Ow, she really hurt me."
- Umindior: "Through here! The relic is inside."
- Quen: "Come on, let's follow him!"
You will indeed find the active relic, glowing a pink light:
- Umindior: "Glad I was here to find our target. I'll keep watch for more sea witches."
- <Umindior runs outside.>
- Quen: "Useless. Come on, let's take care of the relic."
- Quen: "Toss that magic cloth over it!"
Once the relic has been surpressed you can follow Quen outside to meet with Umindior:
- Umindior: "She was no Neri. She hurt me. In a bad way. Are we done?"
- Quen: "Yes. We did the job. Thanks for all your help."
Speaking with Umindior before Quen:
- "Why would Neri trick me like that? She said to follow her to a secluded spot for more fun. Then Minahel grabbed me.
At least I showed you where they kept the relic. We really make a great team."
If you exit out of the conversation with Quen before turning in the quest, he will alternatively say:
- "This is the kind of job that makes me happy I joined the Thieves Guild. Adventure, danger, and some romance. I even survived a threat to my very life.
It seems Quen wants to discuss some business with you. Never keep a lady waiting, I say."
or
- "Another successful job for me. I always knew I had natural talent. Even with the risks to my life that I endured.
I think Quen wants to talk to you. She keeps eyeing me and scowling. What do you think that's about?"
After completing the quest and handing over the relic, you can listen to Quen and Umindior's conversation:
- Umindior: "Quite the heist, right Quen? Phew, I'm exhausted."
- Quen: "From what? Your antics hardly count as helping."
- Umindior: "Yes, well, can you blame me? I was entranced."
- Quen: "You won't touch this relic. Not until we both deliver it."
You can then talk with Umindior afterwards:
- "I must stop thinking about Neri. Did I mention she had great hair and the most amazing eyes?
I know. Sure, she betrayed me to a crazed sea witch. But I'm the forgiving sort." - You really seem to have been affected by that relic.
- "I don't think I was! Not really. No, this is very genuine. And I feel confident it was real for Neri as well.
She was something else. So different, so exotic. So strong." - Are you going to be all right, Umindior?
- "What? Oh, yes. Of course. I'll be fine. Just got a bit caught up in the moment. Moments. Lots of moments.
Quen seems a bit, ah, disappointed in this particular heist. But I'll remember it forever. She's probably just a little jealous."
And Now, Perhaps, PeaceEdit
If you previously assisted him in Llanshara, he will be with Quen at the talks in All Flags Castle:
- "Is that really Queen Ayrenn? And High King Emeric? My word! Quen told me to be on my best behavior, but this is an opportunity too good to pass up!
What? I won't steal anything too noticeable!"
Speaking with him again after completing the quest:
- "I suppose I should offer my congratulations. Not only did you help Quen and me, but I understand you calmed the volcano. Nicely done! Maybe next you could do something about mudcrabs. I really despise the shells and those weird eye stalks."
