Detailed WalkthroughEdit
After completing the quest Awakening, you can speak to Hengekeeper Lara to begin this quest.
- "Finoriell can't stay with me for long. If she weakens much more, she'll never take root in Treehenge.
And if that doesn't happen, well …." - What did the matrons say?
- "They sense the Worm Cult grows desperate. Finoriell must join Treehenge before the Worm Cult can capture her again.
The fiends have turned to the spriggans for information." - What are the cultists doing?
- "They're tormenting them! Driving them mad! They must know the spriggans are the true guardians of the grove.
You've got to help them before they're completely destroyed!" - I'll do my best.
- "I'll never forgive myself if Finoriell comes to harm."
Now you need to kill four of the spriggans tormentors, in the western part of Treehenge. The regular Worm Cult Assassin, Necromancer and Savage mobs do not count, only the Bonelords do. They can be found by the pillars of red light. Once you kill four of them, you will hear a voice:
- "Our efforts are wasted. Come to the waterfall. Follow the light."
A mote of white light around a torchbug will appear and guide to to the next objective. At the base of the waterfall, you'll find the Spriggan Matron Talk to it.
- "Your courage and compassion are welcome, but I fear it's far too late for anything to be done. "
- Too late? What do you mean?
- "The cultists have all but destroyed us. They kill Treehenge from the roots.
Finoriell must live if we are to heal." - How can I save her?
- "The cavers you first entered holds Treehenge's roots. Within is the holy seed, cast off from the first sprout.
Find it and bring it to Finoriell. It will allow her to root and flourish." - Take me there.
The spriggan will teleport you to the cavern, where you need to retrieve the seed. It will now be populated by hoarvors and the blue variations of Spriggans, all hostile to you. After you arrive, the Spriggan Matron will already be there. Speak to her.
- "This seed existed before the Green Pact, before the Bosmer learned to calm their forms. Before the Green Lady and the Silvenar.
It will heal Finoriell. Take it to her before she dissipates." - How do I use it?
- "It will act as a vessel for Finoriell's essence. Bring it to her and she will find it.
Be quick. Finoriell's lifeforce scatters to the wind. Take the seed, and I wil send you to her." - All right.
Now take the seed. Once you do, the Spriggan Matron will once again teleport you. You'll arrive at the center, next to Lara. Talk to her.
- "You're alive! I thought they might have taken you too …."
- What's happened?
- "They came! Finoriell's so weak, she couldn't fight back!
One of the cultists captured her, but they didn't get far. I'd know if she left Treehenge!" - Where are they now?
- "Up the path, near the great tree at the center. They're trying to rip her from Treehenge.
Finoriell's still fighting - you've got to save her! I don't know how long she'll last!" - Hengekeeper Lara : "Follow me! I'll show you a shortcut."
- Hengekeeper Lara : "The vine should be strong enough to hold you, I hope!"
Follow Lara to a vine and activate it to climb it. Follow the path, defeating any Worm Cultists in your path. You'll see Finoriell's Soul bound in a ritual. Defeat the Worm Cult Warlock to disrupt it. After the battle, you can activate Finoriell's Soul to take it into the seed. Next, return to Lara at the center.
- "Finoriell is with you? Can I see her?"
- She's very weak.
- "There's nothing holding her together. Any moment, she could just disappear.
I couldn't stop them before, but now … I know what I must do." - She needs to be planted in Treehenge, right?
- "The matrons said she's withering. Too weak to take root. But I won't let it end this way!
I can give my life energy to Finoriell. It will give her the strength she needs." - Are you sure that's the only way?
- "There's no time. She's fading away as we speak!
I must make this sacrifice for the good of the henge … for the good of the Bosmer."
Lara moves closer to the nearby tree:
- Hengekeeper Lara : "I'll do anything to see Finoriell take root in this sacred grove!"
A green aura and swirling leaves envelop her form and all of the matrons, and Lara disappears. Finoriell's ghost appears next to the matrons. Talk to her.
- "I hear them. The matrons, the leaves, the drops of rain. The whole forest, all around us.
And over it all, I can hear the Green Lady." - What happened to Hengekeeper Lara?
- "She gave her own lifeforce to save me. I couldn't take it all, not after all she's done for us.
For now, she sleeps. We'll tend to her until she recovers from this ordeal." - Are you now part of Treehenge?
- "I … I think so. I can feel again. My roots go deep into the earth. It … stings a bit.
The matrons want to thank you, but I fear their pride prevents them. So I will. Thank you." - You're welcome.
- "Because of you, I've finally joined my sisters. I feel like we're old friends already.
Perhaps the four of us can heal the spriggans and drive the Worm Cult away for good. It'd be like being the Green Lady once again!"
This ends the quest.
NotesEdit
- The tormented spriggans won't exist in Treehenge before starting the quest.
- The tormented spriggans die on the spot rather than flee after being saved.
- The torchbug summoned by the spriggan matron to guide your way to the waterfall moves at an extremely slow pace, so you're better off just running ahead of it to the waterfall, as it is marked with an objective marker anyway.
- Finoriell's Soul isn't added to your quest items after you take it from the cauldron.
BugsEdit
- The channeling animation of the player character when absorbing Finoriell's Soul from the cauldron stops itself midway through, though still completing after a while. ?
- Finoriell's first dialogue after being healed back lacks lip-syncing. ?

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
