Defeat Aradros the Awakened after placing the Challenge Banner in Veteran Oathsworn Pit.

Scorched but Surviving is awarded for defeating Aradros the Awakened in Oathsworn Pit on Veteran difficulty level, after raising the challenge banner, which makes the fight more difficult by the following:

• Enemies become generally stronger
• Molten tiles stay much longer, thus requiring more careful placement, overlapping them with existing molten tiles or edges if possible, to preserve more safe space.^{[verification needed — Do they stay until intermission / end or slowly decay?]}
• "Exploding tiles" are more numerous (5 at once instead of 2 in regular Veteran mode), and their explosions span the entire arena instead of 7 tiles in each direction.
• Intermission phase at 50% Aradros' health spawns all three his assistants in the connected rooms (compared to Faenalir and only one of Nilborwen and Maerolor, chosen randomly, in regular Veteran mode). They all also become hostile as soon as any one of them is engaged.
