Beneath the StoneEdit
If you have not started the quest and you approach her:
- "Beware traveler! The waters run wild and dangerous here."
If you completed the Eastmarch questline, she will recognize you:
- "The King's Arrow. Your arrival is a wind that lifts my spirit."
If you haven't completed the Eastmarch questline:
- "The river runs with poison here. You'll want to stay back."
If you've started the quest already, she will ask you to use a talisman to collect the corrupted magicka from imbued bodies that the Reachmen are using to bring down the barrier in the mine:
- "The river runs with poison here. You'll want to stay back while we work our way inside."
- Vigrod sent me to help break into the mine.
- "Ssk! The Reach vermin hide behind their magical shield. We must bring it down, for the Pact and glory."
- How do we disrupt the shield?
- "Outside town, dark shamans imbue bodies with corrupt magicka. Take this talisman. Use it to remove the corruption and return the bodies to rest. Then we will turn the Reach's evil against them."
- I'll see it done.
Otherwise:
- How can I help?
- "Ssk! The Reachmen assaulted the town and hold the mine. They hide behind this magical shield. We must bring it down, for the Pact and glory."
- How do we do that?
- "Outside of town, dark shamans disturb the dead, imbuing their bodies with corruption. Use this talisman to draw out the magicka and return the dead to peace. See me when the talisman is full."
- I'll get it done.
You can then ask her more questions.
- "Too few have the strength to oppose the Reach shamans. Hurry, before they do more evil here."
- What are you doing with those effigies?
- "The other mages and I have been trying to force our way inside. We've been preparing the effigies for a spell of our own. Hssk. Their shamans are powerful. Now, with your arrival, we can strike."
- How will gathering their magicka help us?
- "Mysticism responds strongly to sympathetic acts. Their spell here wards the cave. Symbolically, it's the same energy hulled from the dead. We will set one against the other. Hss."
- Why are the Reachmen digging up corpses?
- "They are mystics. The art of Mysticism allows a Mage to manipulate the flow of magicka. These dark shaman, they pull the corpses from the ground. They drain the remaining magicka from the body."
- So they don't care about the actual bodies?
- "That's right. To these Boneshapers, the body is just the rind of a fruit. They squeeze it with rituals. Drain the last of the river water from the dead."
After collecting the magicka:
- "I can hear the magicka singing with the talisman. The effigies are ready to receive your gift."
- Now what?
- "Hssk. Imbue the effigies with the corrupt magicka. That should clear the way into the mine."
- And then?
- "Look for the mine foreman, Gandis. He should know where the Reachmen are hiding, and if any workers survive. But first you must open the way into the mine."
- I'm on it.
- "Channel the magicka into the effigies. That should lower the shield that blocks the mine entrance."
After clearing the entrance by imbuing the effigies with the magicka:
- "The way is clear. Please, find the foreman. We'll hold the mine entrance and the town."
UnearthedEdit
If you exit the mine and haven't started the quest yet, you can approach her and she will say:
- "The dark vines of the Reach dig deep."
She will ask you to continuing going through the mines to find out what the Reachmen are up to. She suggests finding Gandis to know more:
- "You're needed beneath the loam. The stone of Shor calls out in pain. Can you hear it?"
- I should enter the mine?
- "Hssk. With the barrier down, we must unearth their purpose here. I and the other soldiers will guard the gate. Ensure the Reach do not strike from within."
- Is there someone I should find inside?
- "Sss. Foreman Gandis. If he still swims this part of the river, he may know what's going on."
- I'll find him.
Speaking to her again if you started the quest directly from her:
- "Do not worry. If the Reach attempt to take Shor's Stone from within, they will fail."
Speaking to her after you return from the mine, she will be tending to a wounded Pact Soldier:
- "Alas, the evil giant Sinmur has returned. Every leaf trembles now. Tell Vigrod everything you saw."
