Nixads are very nimble passive creatures that inhabit the Gold Coast, Summerset, and Vvardenfell.
They are capable of dodging a number of attacks before being hit. They can drop insect parts and a very wide variety of crafting materials upon death. They produce all kinds of giggling noises when standing near them.
Giant Brimstone Nixads can be encountered as enemies. They attack using fire magic and can drop Daedra Husks.

- It is possible to obtain several nixad pets: the Sylvan Nixad, Turquoise Nixad, Orchid Nixad, Blue Shock Nixad, Brimstone Nixad, Ice Nixad, Nectarthief Nixad and Screaming Midyear Nixad.
- Before their appearance in later content, Nixads were first mentioned within the base game book The Story of Princess Eselde.
