Nathyn Dreloth is a Dark Elf and son of Sathile Dreloth. A sheltered child, Nathyn has been confined to Tel Dreloth for as long as he can remember. He and Dacia Caro planned to elope together, but their plan was put on hold by Nathyn's mother. Dacia asks for your assistance in emancipating Nathyn from his confinement in Mistress Dreloth's tower during the related quest.

You'll enter the Isolation Tower from the Tel Dreloth Caverns to find Nathyn on the first floor of the main hall, encased in a shimmering orange ward.
- Nathyn Dreloth: "Dacia—stay back! I tried to escape, but she was right. My mother was right about everything!"
- Dacia Caro: "Nathyn…what are you talking about? We're here to rescue you!"
Speak with him.
- "Stay back from the ward! Mother says it's already in a weakened state due to the strength of my affliction.
I don't recognize you, stranger. What are you doing with Dacia?" - She hired me to come rescue you.
- "Rescue? Then she really does love me? There was this note, you see—I was certain it was fake, but then I saw you and … well, I started to wonder.
But I cannot leave. If you came through the caverns, you must have seen what I'm capable of." - That was you? Tun-Shei said that Delmon was responsible for what happened.
- "My father, yes. The affliction my mother gave me. She named it after him.
I didn't know until I tried escaping—the wards were never for my protection. They kept others safe from me. If I had left with Dacia when we planned, she'd be dead!" - What did Sathile afflict you with?
- "A living cure, a symbiote that protects its host with toxic spores. I would not be alive without it, and it would not thrive without me.
All these years, she really has been trying to cure me so I might live a normal life. Why did I ever doubt her?" - Where is your mother now?
Sathile Dreloth appears behind the ward in the flesh. If you talk to Nathyn, he says:
- "Mother … I've never seen her like this before."
If you talk to him after speaking with Sathile about Dacia's options, he says:
- "Dacia … join me on this side of the ward? But she'd be afflicted forever. Or until we find a cure.
We always talked of leaving Tel Dreloth and traveling Tamriel together. Could she really be happy staying here? With me?"
If you ask him for his opinion after Dacia asks you what she should do, Nathyn says:
- "I don't want to be alone again. I want nothing more than for Dacia to stay with me. If we can't walk the world together, at least we'd never have to be apart.
But I love her. Deeply, truly, I do. Which is why I know I cannot ask her to stay."
Tell Dacia to StayEdit
If you speak to him after telling Dacia to stay but before ending the quest:
- "Is she staying? Truly? I can't believe it!"
You can talk to him after the quest.
- "I can't believe she's chosen to stay. How did I end up so lucky to have someone like her find me?"
- What are you going to do now?
- "By the Three, she's going to be here! In here! With me! I've never had that before!
What do I do? I need to tidy up! Look presentable! Make sure she's going to be comfortable …. So much to do!"
Tell Dacia To LeaveEdit
If you speak to him after telling Dacia to leave but before ending the quest:
- "So she's chosen to go. I worry this is the beginning of the end. But it's for the best."
You can talk to him after the quest.
- "Dacia's feelings may wither someday. But for now, she's found a path forward that will benefit everyone."
- "I don't know what to say.
Dacia is my world. I wouldn't want her to curse herself forever just to be with me. But I … I don't think I'll meet anyone like her ever again." - What are you going to do now?
- "I'll ask my mother to order me songbooks. And then I'll learn and practice every song I can. When Dacia returns, I'll play, and she'll sing, and it'll be just like when we first met."
Chronicle of FateEdit
If you persuade Dacia to travel the world to find a cure to Nathyn's affliction, he will be in attendance as a magical projection alongside Dacia:
Speaking to him:
- "It's you! Hello! I'm still getting the hang of this magic and I have no idea if it's working.
Can you and Dacia hear me? Am I coming through?" - I can hear you. How are you holding up?
- "Missing Dacia, of course—but my mother's been teaching me how to project my image with magic.
Isn't it brilliant? Anywhere she goes, I go too! Sort of. The image on this side isn't very…well, it's better than nothing!" - It's good to see you outside of the tower.
- "And you! I just wanted to thank you. Dacia's traveling the world! She's radiant! I've never seen her so happy.
