Molten Weapons
Molten Weapons: Duration: [27 / 28 / 29 / 30] seconds.
Charge you and your grouped allies' weapons with volcanic power to gain Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20% for [27 / 28 / 29 / 30] seconds.
Igneous Weapons: Duration: [57 / 58 / 59 / 60] seconds, Radius: 36 meters.
Charge you and your grouped allies' weapons with volcanic power to gain Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20% for [57 / 58 / 59 / 60] seconds.
Molten Armaments: Cost: [4320 / 4230 / 4140 / 4050] Magicka.
Charge you and your grouped allies' weapons with volcanic power to gain Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20% for 30 seconds. You also gain Empower for the duration, increasing the damage of your Heavy Attacks against monsters by 70%.

Molten Weapons increases Weapon and Spell Damage for you and all nearby allies. The Igneous Weapons morph increases the duration and range, while Molten Armaments gives you Empower, increasing your damage with Heavy Attacks.

  • When a second Dragonknight casts this ability, a first caster of the ability no longer loses their caster ability bonus.
  • This ability will no longer buff allies. Instead, activating Molten Weapons will increase your heavy attack damage by 40% for 7 seconds. The duration increases with each additional rank.
  • Igneous Weapons: Using a heavy attack while this ability is active will increase its duration by one second.
  • Molten Armaments: This ability now increases the extra damage against low health targets.
  • Slightly reduced the cost of Molten Weapons and its morphs.
  • This ability and its morphs now applies a 30 second Major Sorcery buff for you and nearby allies.
  • Igneous Weapons: This morph will now grant you and your allies the Major Brutality buff for 30 seconds, in addition to the Major Sorcery buff.
  • Molten Armaments:
    • This morph now increases your own fully-charged Heavy Attack damage by 40% for 30 seconds in addition to granting the Major Sorcery buff.
    • This morph will now apply the fully-charged Heavy Attack damage bonus to Lightning and Restoration Staves.
  • Weapon effects such as Molten Armaments will no longer appear incorrectly on certain weapons after weapon swapping.
  • Igneous Weapons: Fixed an issue where this morph did not improve as it ranked up. It will now increase by 1 second per rank.
  • Abilities that provide Major Buffs that are not associated with healing or damage will now apply to a maximum of 12 targets. Below are the following abilities affected by this change:
    • Frost Cloak & morphs now affect 12 targets instead of 6
    • Molten Weapons & morphs now affect 12 targets instead of 6
    • Rapid Maneuvers & morphs now affect 12 targets instead of 24
    • War Horn & morphs now affect 12 targets instead of 24
    • Developer Comment: Due to the structure of our group sizes and targeting systems in place, we wanted a healthier balance in terms of how abilities hit targets. Previously, many abilities only hit 6 players (such as Molten Weapons or Frost Cloak), while other abilities hit 24 players (Rapids or Warhorn) which left a large disparity in their performance in how groups engaged with them. We used the Trial group size as a healthy medium since it was in the middle of 4-player dungeon content and large-scale warfare in Cyrodiil. Please note that we consider abilities that heal or do damage as higher impact, thus their additional affixes will continue to only hit 6 targets for the time being.
  • Earthen Heart: Adjusted the duration of these skills so that their final ranks land on integers rather than fractions when you have Rank 2 of Eternal Mountain. This has resulted in the following duration changes:
    • Magma Armor & morphs: Increased to 12 seconds from 10.8 seconds
    • Molten Weapons & morphs: Previously 39.6 seconds, adjusted so Igneous Weapons is now 42 seconds & Molten Armaments is 36 seconds
    • Obsidian Shield & morphs: Increased to 8 seconds from 7.2 seconds
    • Petrify & morphs, Ash Cloud & morphs: no change
    • Stonefist & morphs: Decreased to 3 seconds from 3.6 seconds
  • This ability and its morphs now grant Major Brutality and Sorcery at base.
  • Igneous Weapons (morph):
    • This morph now increases the duration further to 42 seconds at Rank I, up from 32. It also increases the radius to 36 meters, up from 28 meters.
  • Molten Armaments (morph):
    • Fixed numerous issues where the Heavy Attack damage bonus from this morph was not applying to attacks it previously had, such as Restoration Staves or your Off-Hand Dual Wield attacks.
  • Molten Armaments (morph): Fixed an issue where the Major Brutality granted from this ability could fail to apply to group members in certain situations.
  • Molten Armaments (morph): Fixed an issue where this ability could fail to apply some of its buffs to group members.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not cast this ability or its morphs on nearby neutral enemies.
  • Igneous Weapons (morph): This morph now extends the duration of the effects to up to 60 seconds, up from 45.
  • Molten Armaments (morph): This morph now grants the caster Empower for the duration of the effect, rather than increasing the damage of their Heavy Attacks by a unique value.
