Maulborn General Darvasen is a Dark Elf leading the Maulborn forces trying to take over the academy of Shad Astula. Dialogue with Tedras Relvi reveals that he was formerly Arch-Mage Valeyn's assistant.

Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Entropic Flare
- A basic ranged attack that does minor magic damage.
- Void
- The enemy summons a purple orb from the sky that explodes when it hits the ground splitting into three projectiles dealing moderate magic damage. This skill then sends out magic AoEs across the floor called Void Bursts. This attack can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided.
- Void Burst
- These AoEs are released after Void lands, the smaller AoEs deal minor magic damage.
Quest-Related EventsEdit
When you enter the library vaults at the Arch-Mage's behest, Darvasen will trap you in a ward and send you to the cell beneath the Instruction Halls. He expects the Arch-Mage, but gets you instead.
- Maulborn General Darvasen: "Ah, Valeyn, you walked right into my trap! Wait, who are you?"
- Maulborn General Darvasen: "Another student? Another new Maulborn soldier …."
You later learn that Darvasen has been using something called the Jagged Lens of Compulsion to enslave the students at Shad Astula to bolster the Maulborn's ranks. At the end of the quest, you will need to do battle with Darvasen in the Shad Astula Underhalls and destroy the lens to save the school.
- Maulborn General Darvasen: "Valeyn said you would come. Now you die, and I leave with my new army."
