Detailed WalkthroughEdit
You meet Blaise Pamarc, a mage from the Mages Guild near the entrance of Aphren's Hold on the south side. He asks you to retrieve three pieces of a relic sword located in the three towers of the hold. You need to fight your way through the ghosts that have littered the ground with the dead bodies of the cultists that have startled them.
Every time you collect a piece of the sword, King Aphren's daughter appears as a ghost and says something about her father (along the lines of loving the sword more than her and being so focused on the sword instead of her). Once you have all the pieces, head to the king's location and talk to him. He will mend back the sword and ask you to consider giving it to his daughter Mira (to make amends). At this point you can choose to give the sword back to Pamarc, or you can give it to Mira, who is waiting in another room inside the same crypt.
If you choose to give it to Mira, she destroys the sword and forgives her father, while he recognizes his fault. If you talk to Pamarc, you can choose to tell him you never found the sword or you gave it to the king's daughter. If you tell him you gave it to his daughter, he will be angry at you and will know not to ask travelers for aid in the future.
NotesEdit
- Despite Blaise hinting at the possibility during his dialogue, the Shade you can summon will never fight against you.
- The Shade cannot follow you into the tomb and there is no statue within that can be used to summon it either.
- The chests containing the sword pieces won't exist in the ruins before starting the quest.
- The tomb contains one large room at the end that has no relevance to the quest.

A shade of King Aphren appeared. Perhaps he knows what I need to do to reforge the sword.
Objective: Talk to King Aphren

King Aphren repaired the sword. He wants me to give it to Princess Mira to make amends. Her crypt is down the corridor from his. Of course, the mage, Blaise Pamarc, also expects me to bring the sword to him. Apparently, the choice is mine.
Complete one: Take Aphren's Sword to Mira at Her Crypt or Take Aphren's Sword to Blaise at the Ruin Entrance

I decided to give the sword to Blaise. King Aphren doesn't deserve forgiveness.
Objective: Talk to Blaise Pamarc

Princess Mira understood the significance of receiving her father's sword. She came to speak with him for the first time in centuries. I should speak with the king's spirit now to say goodbye.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
