A dying soldier from Stormhold was betrayed "from within" and asked me to alert Vicecanon Hrondar in Ten-Maur-Wolk.
Quick WalkthroughEdit
- Find Gerent Ittirma at the Hatching Pools.
- Talk to Vicecanon Hrondar at Ten-Maur-Wolk.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
If you're poking around the Hatching Pools before exploring Ten-Maur-Wolk, you may find Gerent Ittirma, who is dying. She was with Vicecanon Hrondar's regiment before she was gravely injured and somehow ended up at the Hatching Pools. Speak with her and find out what happened.
- "Can't last much longer ...."
- What happened?
- "Came from Stormhold. Betrayed from within.
Warn Vicecanon Hrondar, in Ten-Maur-Wolk. Tell him ... not to trust ...." - I'll tell him.
She then dies, and the quest begins. You will need to travel south out of the xanmeer at the pools, then turn east once you get on the road. Follow the road northeast towards Ten-Maur-Wolk. Vicecanon Hrondar and his regiment are located near the top of a hill leading to the temple grounds. Speak with the Vicecanon.
- "Our attack was a disaster. The other vicecanons agreed to keep our forces together. Should've known they'd peel off the moment I turned my back.
If they weren't keeping Stormhold from tearing itself apart, I'd let them boil in a fish kettle." - One of your soldiers was betrayed.
- "Betrayed? Then our worst fears are realized. All the more reason to renew our assault on Ten-Maur-Wolk!"
NotesEdit
- This quest is only offered if you have not yet started Trail of the Skin-Stealer. You must also not have Scouring the Mire in your quest journal in order for Gerent Ittirma to appear at the Hatching Pools.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
