Before Marshal Hlaren is ousted, he says:
- "When my father was a constable, he was respected. Now marshals run roughshod over us and vigilantes make laughing stocks of us all!"
If you speak to him while the Scarlet Judge is imprisoned, you can ask:
- The Marshal isn't usually this involved?
- "The old Marshal worked with the constables. We handled the daily matters while he focused on the big picture. Marshal Hlaren set up a separate watch with her Iron Hound mercenaries. She's made us obsolete!"
If you speak to him after donning the Scarlet Judge's regalia, he will be less than pleased to see you:
- "How dare you walk around town like you own the place. It's our job to protect the villagers, not yours!"
After Marshal Hlaren is gone, he says:
- "We salvaged our dignity by ending Marshal Hlaren's reign of corruption. Perhaps the Scarlet Judge isn't so bad after all."
