She can be seen speaking with Chief Ulvfae if you pass by before you start The Despot of Markarth.
- Chief Kynaer: "Espied the Lady Belain today? Or is she still burrowed deep in the Ard's ear?"
- Chief Ulvfae: "I hear he has another if you're trying to make roost."
- Chief Kynaer: "Feh. Any one of us could rule Markarth! And without wrapping ourselves around Lady Belain's little finger."
- Chief Ulvfae: "Enough of that talk. I'd like some peace before we all resume killing each other."
After The Despot of Markarth:
- Chief Kynaer: "The Ard had strange visitors today. Outsiders asking about Arana.
- Chief Ulvfae: "The witch? Were they friend or foe?"
- Chief Kynaer: "My rooks couldn't tell. He met them in private. Without Lady Belain."
- Chief Ulvfae: "Wonder if she's finally fallen out of favor with the Ard?"
After Blood of the Reach:
- Chief Kynaer: "Arana's following grows by the day. And now they're mining silver! What's the witch up to?"
- Chief Ulvfae: "So she plunders the land while we cower behind the Ard's walls?"
- Chief Kynaer: "No, not her way. Something to do with magic, more like."
- Chief Ulvfae: "Aye, the moon-kissed ore has its uses against those marked by Hircine and Bal."
After The Study of Souls:
- Chief Kynaer: "Lady Belain returned today. Never seen her in such a mood."
- Chief Ulvfae: "And what was the Ard's harpy complaining about today?"
- Chief Kynaer: "Wasn't anger. Excited—giddy, even. What do you suppose would make a woman like that giddy?"
- Chief Ulvfae: "Bodes ill, for certain."
After The Awakening Darkness:
- Chief Kynaer: "You heard what's come of the witches of the Lost Valley?"
- Chief Ulvfae: "No, but your tone says nothing good."
- Chief Kynaer: "They were sacrificing their own to gain power for the coven, or so say the survivors freed by Arana's rebels."
- Chief Ulvfae: "Only those possessed by spirits of Sheogorath, would believe they could prosper from such a thing."
After A Feast of Souls:
- Chief Kynaer: "I knew Lady Belain was plotting something! I only wish I could split her skull myself."
- Chief Ulvfae: "Arana and her rebels saved us the trouble. If they hadn't shown up when they did …."
- Chief Kynaer: "I know. Who'd have thought we'd owe our lives to that lot?"
- Chief Ulvfae: "Can't you just be grateful? I just hope the ard lets the rebels stay. They've earned their place."
After Second Chances:
- Chief Kynaer: "The dead, returned to life—by Hircine's hounds, I still can't believe it!"
- Chief Ulvfae: "Two of my clan among them. Still akin to a dream for all of us … but a pleasant one."
- Chief Kynaer: "Aye. A pleasant one, from which I hope we never wake."
- Chief Ulvfae: "For a few minutes yet, at least."
