Quest-Related EventsEdit
You will find Barluk injured, sitting against some crates behind Overseer Ulfengar:
- "If I ever make it out of this mine I'm going to wring the neck of whoever made my sweet kwama go mad. They didn't deserve this!"
After you exit with the kwama queen's glands, he will be outside. Speaking to him before you decide on the fate of the mine:
- "The overseer might be right. Hard to forgive the Consortium for leaving us here. But I'd do it all again if it meant I could protect my chitinous little rascals."
If you choose to convince Ulfengar to help the mine remain open and convince the miners to stay:
- "Looks like I'll be able to take care of those little critters again after all. If my arm gets better, at any rate.
Thank you for the hand back there. Drinks are on me if we ever run into you again."
If you convince the miners to leave, he will instead say:
- "Looks like we aren't headed back into the mine after all. Maybe I should step away from the bugs for a bit. Seeing as one took a chunk out of me. Going to miss them, though.
Thanks for pulling us out of there. Didn't want to die in the dark."
DialogueEdit
If you convince the remaining workers to continue working with the Consortium, you can find him and his colleagues in the Necrom Fighters Guild. He fully recovered from his injuries and has received a promotion:
- "Well well, not often do you get to see a hero in the flesh! How are you?"
- How are you feeling, Barluk?
- "Good! Cindieth made us I was looked after by the best healers the moment we got back to Necrom. The city can be a bit creepy with the death fixation, but their healers know their craft.
And guess what? Ulfengar is making me head of the pens!" - You're not worried about working with the kwama again after your injury?
- "Ah, that? Nah. The thing about working with animals is to know they're animals. Can't fault them for lashing out when those cultists broke in. They were likely just as scared as we were!"
