Laralthir is a Wood Elf healer at the Chapel of Dibella in Anvil, who seems to really admire Countess Millona Umbranox.
Her schedule is rather simple: she sleeps from midnight to 6am, can be found looking for ingredients from 12pm to 6pm and eating dinner in the chapel hall from 8pm to 10pm. At all other times, she will be found wandering around either the main chapel, the undercroft or the chapel hall, though she will only visit the former two areas once per day at most.
Laralthir wears a middle-class outfit consisting of a dark shirt, burgundy linens, and a pair of quilted shoes. She carries the key to the chapel as well as a small amount of gold. She knows the standard leveled healer spells.
As soon as you install the Knights of the Nine official download, Laralthir is killed. Once the download's quests are all completed (through Umaril the Unfeathered), she is replaced by a new NPC, a male Wood Elf named Amragor.
DialogueEdit
When you first speak with Laralthir, she will greet you with:
- "Me? I'm just Laralthir. I wish I were the Countess of Anvil, to tell you the truth. That Millona Umbranox, she's got it made... [Sigh.]"
Asking about Anvil will result in the following response:
- Anvil
- "Restless folks like you don't much like town life. Too slow and easy. For you, the life of the rover... gold and glory, blood and treasure."
RumorsEdit
With the Knights of the Nine installed, you will start to hear rumors about the attack on the chapel and Laralthir's death:
- "The news from Anvil is terrible! Have you heard about the attack on the Chapel there?"
- "I still can't believe what happened at the Chapel. Trevaia, Laralthir, Dumania... all dead."
- "They say that the priests and priestesses of the Chapel of Dibella have all been murdered! No one even knows who did it!"
- "I don't know what to think about the attack on the Chapel. Things seem to go from bad to worse, don't they?"
To which others will reply:
- "No, I haven't. What's happened?"
- "All the priests, slaughtered. The whole Chapel desecrated!"
- "The servants of Dibella, slaughtered on the very Altar of Love! Truly shocking."
Anvil's citizens will tell you:
- Anvil Chapel attack
- "A terrible crime. Everyone in the Chapel murdered! Who could have done such a thing, and why?"
NotesEdit
- Laralthir is one of the few NPCs in the game to be marked for a scripted death but not to be flagged as essential. Thus it is possible for her to effectively "die twice".
