Leveled Lists are used to spawn random items inside containers, based on the player's level. Simply put, it is a list of items paired with level requirements, which are used for comparison with the player's level.

One leveled list always represents either one random item spawned, or none at all. Aside from items, leveled lists can also contain leveled sub-lists, which are only considered if the player meets their level requirement in the parent list first.

NotesEdit

  • Pick From - Choosing an entry from a leveled list is a two-stage process. First, all entries that have level requirements higher than the player's level are ignored. The second stage, if there's any, depends on the value of this setting.
    • Top - Only the top level of the remaining entries are considered for spawning; lower levels are ignored. For example, l_n_smuggled_goods will only pick from random_smuggler_6-10 for level 6 players; the sub-list random_smuggler_1-5, while initially qualified, will be ignored in the second stage.
    • All - Otherwise, all remaining entries are considered for spawning; no other entries are ignored. For example, l_n_soul gem can spawn any soul gem (except grand) for level 12 players. Grand soul gems are, of course, disqualified in the first stage.
  • Chance None - Indicates the probability of finding nothing, which is applicable only for the current list. If the current list picks a sub-list, then the Chance None setting of that sub-list will also be considered. Thus, even with a Chance None value of zero, there are still other scenarios where the list returns nothing:
    • All entries have level requirements higher than the player's level; for example, l_m_amulets will never spawn anything for level 3 players.
    • The current list has picked a sub-list that does not spawn anything; for example, l_b_amulets picks l_m_amulets, which will never spawn anything for level 3 players, as mentioned above.
  • Multi - Containers can have several items from the same leveled list. This setting defines how those items are picked.
    • Stack - There is only one stack of one item type, which is picked only once. For example, a container with ten items from l_n_wpn_missle_bolt will always give level 3 players one stack of either 10 iron bolts or 10 corkbulb bolts. It will never result in 7 iron and 3 corkbulb bolts, nor any other split of 10 bolts.
    • Mixed - The items are picked from the list multiple times. For example, a container with five items from l_n_wpn_missle_bow can give level 3 players 5 long bows or 5 chitin short bows; however, it can also result in a mix of 3 long bows and 2 chitin short bows, as well as any other split of 5 bows.
  • (Level) Item - if the player's level is below the indicated level, the corresponding item or leveled sub-list will not be considered for spawning.
