Is this a spoiler? Granted both of these situations happen early in Oblivion, but it doesn't seem to fit in a general Tamriel page about Kvatch. - Jketola 14:33, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

I'm inclined to agree... the idea of the Tamriel pages is to be more descriptive, not historical (except of course pre-TES games historical). I'll edit it. -- Endareth^Talk 19:44, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

I got my first thief character to gather too many levels in Skingrad without really gaining any combat skills. Then the countryside appeared really dangerous, as I rode towards Kvatch, it was constant flight from trolls, bandits etc. I couldn't wait to reach the safe haven of the city walls. I galloped through the camp without paying attention and suspecting these people may be bandits, so I hurried ahead. "It's getting dark, okay. Storm begins, well, happens. Rather dark and dry here, probably high mountains flora." And then I take the last turn, stop and mutter "Quatsch". That was one of two moments when the game really made something I didn't even remotely expect. (The other was when Ocato didn't betray and accepted Martin as emperor :) - That gate there came as a shock, and the only in the whole game, really. --Vook 17:15, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

kvatch prisonEdit

None of the guards in Kvatch are actually guards by class, so they cannot arrest you. Also, if you get a real guard to Kvatch, you will be taken to Anvil, the nearest jail. --DKong27 ^{Talk Cont} 16:32, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Antus PinderEdit

I believe part of this article is speculation. The section is: Sources show it was a major settlement when sacked by the Camoran Usurper in the 3E 249. During this assault, Antus Pinder led the defense of the city, and despite being defeated gravely, was given a statue in Kvatch to remember his courage and spirit..

• Camoran's part seems to be based on the book Lore:The Refugees: "I think the people of Kvatch would disagree with that assessment," said Hzim, coldly.
• For Antus Pinder, we have a very vague Oblivion loading screen: "Antus Pinder led a hopeless defense against a superior force. Despite a grave defeat, his statue stands in Kvatch to honor his courage and spirit."

Nowhere can I find the connection between the sack of Kvatch and Antus Pinder. While it may have happened, it's not explicit anywhere. The only mention I can find is an imperial library page with no source: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/city-kvatch. I think unless there is a connection, it should be reworded.

That loading screen appears to be the only reliable source on Pinder. In which case, yes, that section is loaded with speculation stated as fact. Minor Edits^{Threats•Evidence} 18:56, 2 May 2013 (GMT)
