The Ring of the Wild Hunt is an ancient ring which plagues the wearer's dreams with frightful images of hunters and prey. In exchange, it blesses the wearer with Y'ffre's swiftness, increasing the speed of whomever possesses it.[1][2]
The ring is composed of five different pieces:
- The Band of Water: A small band which possibly depicts a liquified Bosmer.
- Charm of the Shapeless: A bizarrely shaped green charm and a possible relic of the Wild Hunt.
- Face of the Serpent: Possible imagery of the Wild Hunt, resembling a serpentine beast.
- Face of the Wolf Beast: A monstrous animal resembling various different creatures, possibly a depiction of King Dead Wolf-Deer.
- Symbol of Y'ffre: A depiction of Y'ffre thought to be of the God unleashing the power of the Wild Hunt.[2]
HistoryEdit
Sometime after its creation, the ring was no longer whole, broken into five different pieces. Circa 2E 582, a member of the University of Gwylim's Antiquarian Circle tracked down and discovered the separated components and reassembled the ring.
The Band of Water's location was discovered in Bad Man's Hallows from the corpse of a foe. The Charm of the Shapeless was found in Murkmire, its location discovered also from the body of a powerful foe. The Face of the Serpent's whereabouts was discovered from Canonreeve Oraneth's body in Elden Hollow upon her defeat. The Face of the Wolf Beast and Symbol of Y'ffre's locations were also discovered from fallen foes in Malabal Tor and Greenshade respectively.[3]
