Asterie Bedel was an accomplished Breton blacksmith of the Late Merethic Era. She possessed a great talent that drew from both the techniques of men and mer in crafting her exceptional wares. Her unmistakable signature, a mage's knot, is engraved within the heart of the blade, reflecting the earliest traditions of Bretonic culture. Among her remarkable creations is the mighty Chrysamere, a legendary two-handed adamantium claymore,[1] and a potent artifact with offensive capabilities only surpassed by its defenses.[2][3][4] The historical account makes Asterie Bedel one of the earliest known Bretons in history.
Asterie Bedel's name endured through the ages and was recorded in the Infinite Archive.[1] While it remains uncertain if there is any familial connection, a Breton smith named Huet Bedel resided in Shornhelm during the turbulent times of the Interregnum.[5][6]
