Arctus was a Nord and the High Priest of Dementia in the Shivering Isles. He preached the Demented beliefs of Arden-Sul in the Sacellum of New Sheoth. His rival was Dervenin, the Priest of Mania. Arctus came to power within the Sacellum at the whim of Sheogorath; he could only preach his Demented teachings if the Cold Flame of Agnon was lit for Dementia. He was responsible for aiding anyone trying to replace the Duke of Dementia, which requires a sacrifice of the current duke's heart to Arden-Sul.[1]
HistoryEdit
As High Priest, Arctus helped Sheogorath's Champion on several occasions, working to halt the Greymarch in 3E 433.[1]
Eventually, his rival Dervenin no longer held his position as High Priest of Mania.[2] It is unclear what this meant for his own tenure as High Priest.
