Two novels were written by Greg Keyes and published under the subtitle An Elder Scrolls Novel. The first, The Infernal City, was published on November 24, 2009, while its sequel Lord of Souls was published on September 27, 2011.
The books form a duology and follow the story of a mysterious floating city's invasion of Tamriel, told from the perspective of several different characters. The story takes place in the year 4E 48, between the events of Oblivion and Skyrim.
