Frostfire Glade is a cave containing animals, monsters, atronachs and ice wraiths, located northeast of Whitewood Creek and southeast of Red Ruby Cave. It contains three zones: Frostfire Cave, Tunnels, Frostfire Cave, Cold's Embrace and Frostfire Glade Clearing.

- The cave was supposed to host the unfinished quest Frostfire Unleashed. As a result, several quest features are in place, including the frozen door in Cold's Embrace, Pilgrim Supply Chests scattered across the dungeon and the Glade Guardian in Frostfire Glad Clearing. In addition, once you have defeated the Guardian, an Aetherial Shepherd will appear by the once-frozen door and by the main entrance, and will teleport you to and from each.

ExteriorEdit
Outside the cave you will find a deer, a forest prey (rabbit, fox or gray fox) and a forest predator (animal, troll or minotaur). Just outside the entrance is a small campsite with a tent, a haypile and a barrel of uncommon ingredients, as well as eight motherwort plants, five milk thistle plants, five wormwood plants, three fly amanita plants, one green stain cup plant and steel-blue entoloma plant.
Frostfire Cave, TunnelsEdit
The first room of this zone is a long cave with a stream running through it, lanterns on wooden poles illuminating a path. West of the waterfall is a chest, while to the east are four wolves and the corpse of an unlucky pilgrim. Press east, looting two coin purses and two leveled potions along the way, into a ruined storage area with another coin purse, a knapsack, a copy of Knightfall and three leveled potions. Make your way down the rocky ledge, past two gold ore veins and a wolf, before heading north and slaying two bears. Follow the stream north, past two other bears and a chest, until you reach a waterfall with a nirnroot on the edge. Head down the rocky path and at the bottom jump onto the western ledge to access a chest, before diving into the pool below, which hosts another chest and a nirnroot.
Take the underwater tunnel, tacking quickly to the west to loot a chest, two leveled potions and a leveled enchanted one-handed weapon, before emerging into a ruined and flooded sleeping area. Three rats guard a chest, a barrel of uncommon ingredients and the Pilgrim's Journal, Part I. Head northeast, looting an underwater chest, and then east as the cave turns into an snowy tunnel. Just to the north is a stone tablet warning "Beware, freezing terrain ahead. The path to the Glade is perilous." To the southeast is a large chamber; in the western corner is an abandoned campsite with an ice wraith, a corundum ore vein, a chest, the spell tome Firelight, a draught of resist cold and two coin purses. In the northern corner you will find an ice wraith, an iron ore vein and two bloody corpses. As you are heading down to the lower level, jump up the eastern ledge to loot a chest and coin purse. Dispatch a final ice wraith and take the door to Cold's Embrace.
Frostfire Cave, Cold's EmbraceEdit
This zone is a totally icy cavern, all lit by cold blue flames in ice braziers. You will immediately come across two frozen corpses and a satchel containing some resist frost potions, before arriving in a large icy cavern with a deep crevice on one side. Follow the icy path downwards, past a frost atronach, jumping up the northern ledge to loot a chest, a leveled enchanted bow, a leveled enchanted cuirass, two leveled potions and two coin purses. Head south past another frost atronach and an even larger icy cavern will sprawl out in front of you, with a frozen lake far below and a raised island across a narrow rocky path in front of you. Take this and you will find the giant frost atronach Zyrn Kraz as well as a chest.
Track back and now head east, making some difficult jumps across a few stone ledges. Once on the other side, head southwest past two frost atronachs and then south into a tunnel carved from the ice. At the bottom is an ice wraith, a bloody skeleton, an orcish battleaxe of fear and an orcish helmet. Press on south into a room with an atronach, an expert-locked chest and three silver ore veins. Ignore the two ladders leading down and instead jump down onto a ledge on the eastern side to loot an apprentice-locked chest.
At the bottom of the room is a very dark pond; head north and you will emerge in the lower level of the huge chamber, on a lake covered in solid ice and infested with ice wraiths. Head east and dive into the third hole in the ice you come across: in a boat below is an odd barrel with seventy-eight calipers. At the far eastern end, guarded by an ice wraith, you will find the Pilgrim's Cudgel and two pilgrims who have fallen to their deaths. Track back and head north, diving into a hole in the ice to loot a boss chest, a leveled enchanted one-handed weapon and a leveled helmet. Press on north past an ice wraith and you will find another fallen pilgrim near the base of the island, with a resist frost potion satchel nearby. Loot him of the Pilgrim's Journal, Part II and track back to the upper level.
Once back, head west and after dispatching two frost atronachs you will arrive at a series of narrow tunnels carved in the ice. At the next intersection, head south into a room with a flame atronach, an ice wraith, a dead pilgrim, a silver ore vein, a boss chest, a knapsack and a leveled enchanted mace. Track back and head north, where you will find a small office area with a desk, a barrel of uncommon ingredients, three leveled potions and a copy of Knightfall. As you emerge back into a rocky cave, everything will turn dark; head north into a chamber with a canyon and a river flowing far down below. Across a wooden plank bridge is a small forest with deer, an ogre, a chest and a corundum ore vein. Cross the wooden plank bridge to the west, making sure you jump over the gaps to avoid falling to your death.
Here you will find an abandoned campsite with a tent, a bedroll, an alchemy lab, a cooking pot, a chest, a knapsack, a sack full of fire salts and two copies of On the Refinement of Frost Salts. To unlock the frozen door to the Clearing, follow the instructions in the book by combining frost salts and fire salts in the cooking pot to create refined frost salts and then activating the door.
Frostfire Glade ClearingEdit
You will now emerge into the clearing, which is a small forest glade inhabited by deer, rabbits and foxes. In the center is an icy clearing with a huge ice block encasing the hero Garridan Stalrous and his atronach nemesis, in keeping with his legend. Nearby you will also find the Glade Guardian, a huge frost atronach who will summon atronach Protectors to help him, who in turn will summon tiny atronach Minions. Once defeated, you can loot Garridan's Mithril Helmet and the Pilgrim's Cudgel from the Guardian's corpse. Along the path to the frozen clearing you will notice a tree trunk has fallen above you, forming a bridge. A chest lies inside, while another can be found inside a collapsing trunk near the clearing. In the northern corner of the glade are some hot springs with a chest and a dead pilgrim, carrying a copy of Chant of Mara, while on the western side you will find two silver ore veins.
